After the declaration of the result, authorities conduct PPMET counselling in online mode. The PPMET counselling schedule is released at the official website of the university. The counselling is conducted in two rounds. Qualified candidates have to submit online preferences of colleges/categories within the stipulated dates. Based on the preferences filled by the candidates, allotment of seats is done.

Candidates who are granted seats during the online PPMET 2026 counselling session are required to report at the allotted institute for document verification and joining. Candidates also have to submit admission fees to secure their seats through an online payment gateway, which is made available at the university website.

Candidates wishing to appear for the PPMET 2026 exam need to check the eligibility criteria. The PPMET eligibility criteria 2026 is provided below.

  • Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years on or before December 31, 2026.
  • Applicants should have completed their 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board or university.
  • They must have passed individually in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as regular students in their qualifying examination and secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined.
  • Those applying under the Foreign Indian Student (NRI) quota are not required to appear for the PPMET exam. However, they are required to attend counselling conducted by the Selection Committee.
  • Candidates who have also studied Mathematics along with the required subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English) should note that their Mathematics marks will not be considered for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing programme.

PPMET Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test Syllabus

The PPMET 2026 admit card is issued to the registered candidates. Along with the admit card, the authority also releases a certificate that needs to be signed and self-attested by the candidates. PPMET 2026 admit cards can be downloaded from the official website. The authority does not send the admit cards to the candidates through post.

The University prepares the PPMET 2026 merit list according to the ranks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination. This merit list serves as the basis for allotting seats in the affiliated institutions offering the BSc Nursing course.

PPMET tie-breaking criteria 2026 

In case two or more candidates secure equal marks in the PPMET exam, the merit list is prepared by applying the following tie-breaking criteria: 

  • A candidate securing higher marks in Biology is placed higher in the merit list. 
  • A candidate securing higher marks in Chemistry is placed higher in the merit list. 
  • In case the tie is still not resolved, candidates older in age are placed higher in the merit list.
