Through NORCET 8, recruitment is done for the post of Nursing Officer in all participating AIIMS institutes of India. A total of 1794 seats will be filled through AIIMS NORCET 8 exam. The NORCET 2025 exam will be conducted in two stages - prelims (stage I) and mains (stage II). Stage 1 is of a qualifying nature and only the marks obtained in stage 2 are considered for the NORCET 8 merit list. The NORCET 8 main qualified candidates are then required to fill out the application form for the allotment of institutes. The age of the candidate should be between 18 to 30 years. The age is calculated as per the NORCET 8 application form last date
The candidate should have completed B.Sc Nursing or B.Sc Nursing post basic from any recognised college by the Indian Nursing Council/ State Nursing Council or
The candidate should be registered as a nurse and midwife with the State/ Indian Nursing Council
Candidates with a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) from an Indian Nursing Council/ State Nursing Council recognised institute are also eligible given that they should be registered as Nurses and Midwives in the State/ Indian Nursing Council.
Candidates with a Diploma in GNM should have two years experience in a minimum 50 bedded hospital
As per the NORCET exam reservation criteria, 80% of the total seats are reserved for female candidates and 20% of seats are reserved for male candidates in all participating AIIMS. There is no category-wise reservation in NORCET 2025.

Note: The online exam is submitted automatically and each section appears one by one during the 90-minute duration at one time only. Candidates are allowed only to attempt questions in the currently active section which remains enabled for a set time. Candidates cannot view or answer any questions section other than the currently active part.
The AIIMS NORCET 8 application form can be filled out online from the official website till the NORCET 8 form fill up date. The NORCET 2025 exam official website is aiimsexams.ac.in. The AIIMS NORCET 2025 application form can be filled in 8 major steps. The whole process of NORCET 8 online application form is as follows -
Fill in the basic details such as full name, DOB, category, gender, email and a working mobile number to get the login credentials.
Login using the credentials received on the registered mobile number and email address and change the password on first time log in.
Login using the newly created password
Fill the qualification details of the applicant like qualifying examination name, status, etc.
Fill the correspondence address and permanent address details of the candidate
Candidates need to fill in their experience details of the candidate like the name of the organisation worked at, Designation, Start date, etc.
Pay the NORCET application fee 2025 through the online mode
After successful completion of the payment, take a printout of the payment receipt bearing the Unique Registration Number which is used for future correspondence.
Select the examination city from the available city list carefully.
Exam city once selected cannot be changed later.
Upload a recent scanned photograph and left thumb impression of the candidate in jpg/jpeg format
The size of the photograph should be between 50 kb - 100 kb
The size of the left thumb impression should be between 20 kb - 100 kb
Take a printout of the duly filled NORCET 2025 application form for future reference
A correction window is available for making any corrections in the NORCET 2025 application form
The correction window of NORCET 2025 allows candidates to edit and make corrections in registration and basic details filled in the application form. Categories from SC/ST to UR/OBC/EWS cannot be corrected once the registration fee is submitted. Candidature is cancelled in case of incorrect information at any stage of recruitment. The edit window is not an extension of the date, and the last date of online registration is treated as the last date for all recruitment purposes under NORCET 2025.
The admit cards of AIIMS NORCET 2025 are released on the official website aiimsexams.ac.in. Bringing the NORCET 8 admit card to the exam centre is mandatory, without it, no candidate can sit for the examination. Also, students need to hand over the NORCET 2025 admit card to the invigilator after completing the examination.

The NORCET exam syllabus 2025 comprises the subjects of the educational qualification, that is the syllabus of B.Sc nursing, GNM, Post-basic nursing. 20 multiple choice questions are asked from the General Knowledge & Aptitude and 80 multiple choice questions are asked from the syllabus of the nursing courses of the educational qualification.
All the candidates have to obtain a certain percentage of marks to qualify for the prelims and mains stage of the NORCET 2025. Only the candidates securing AIIMS NORCET cut off are considered eligible. The qualifying percentage for NORCET 2025 is listed below.

The NORCET 8 prelims result date is April 17, 2025 and the result will be announced on the official website aiimsexams.ac.in. The mains of AIIMS NORCET 2025 will be conducted for only those candidates who will qualify in the stage 1. The marks obtained in the NORCET 2025 mains are considered for the merit list while the prelims is of qualifying only. The successful candidates are called for the document verification process and upon successful completion, they are recruited in the participating institutes and AIIMS colleges in India.
In case more than one candidate is securing equal marks, the following tie-breaking criteria are applied for preparing the NORCET 2025 merit list.
The older candidate is placed higher on the merit list
If the tie still exists, then the candidate with fewer wrong answers will be given a preference
