To participate in Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Students must have qualified for the NEET UG 2025 exam by securing the minimum NEET cutoff 2025 percentile and marks
Candidates must be domiciled citizens in Maharashtra or have completed classes 10 and 12 from a recognised institution in Maharashtra.
Students must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2025. There is no upper age limit
Candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as main subjects
Candidates applying under reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS) must provide valid category certificates. For Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates, an eligibility certificate issued after March 31, 2025, is required.
The complete process of Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 is provided below.
1. Online Registration
Visit the official CET Cell portal, cetcell.mahacet.org
Click on the “Apply Online for NEET-UG 2025” link.
Fill in personal, academic, and NEET details (NEET roll number, application number, name, date of birth).
Verify the mobile number and email ID using an OTP.
Create a password and agree to the declaration to submit the form.
Pay the non-refundable registration fee online
2. Document Upload
Upload scanned copies of required documents in PDF format.
3. Document Verification
The CET Cell verifies the uploaded documents and details.
Candidates receive an acknowledgement of document verification with a “Document Verification Code” for further steps.
4. State Rank List
A provisional merit list of Maharashtra NEET 2025 is published on the CET Cell portal based on NEET 2025 ranks and eligibility. Only such candidates who are included in the Maharashtra NEET merit list are eligible for the counselling.
5. Choice Filling and Locking
Eligible candidates log in using their Application Number, Password, and Document Verification Code
Select the preferred colleges and courses (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, etc.).
Choices locked in Round 1 are considered for subsequent rounds, and no changes are allowed after locking.
6. Seat Allotment
Seats are allotted based on the NEET 2025 rank, category, choices filled, and seat availability. The seat allotment result is published on the CET cell website.
7. Institute Reporting and Document Verification
Candidates must report to the allotted college within the specified time and carry original documents for verification, and pay the college fees as per the institution’s structure.
