Before that, here are some sample Chemistry NEET 2025 mock test questions for students' practice purposes.

Q 1. One mole of carbon atom weighs 12 g, the number of atoms in it is equal to, ( Mass of carbon - 12 is \mathrm{1.9926 \times 10^{-23}g} )

1. 6.022 \times 10^{22}

2. 12 \times 10^{22}

3. 6.022 \times 10^{23}

4. 1.2 \times 10^{23}

Solution:

The number of atoms present in 12 g of carbon is equal to Avogadro's number (6.022 \times 10^{23}). Hence, the answer is the option (3).

Q 2. Identify the incorrect statement from the following.

1. All the five 4\mathrm{d} orbitals have shapes similar to the respective 3\mathrm{d} orbitals.

2. In an atom, all the five 3\mathrm{d} orbitals are equal in energy in free state.

3. The shapes of \mathrm{d_{x y}\: d_{yz}\: \: and \: d_{z x}} orbitals are similar to each other; and \mathrm{d_{x^{2}}-y^{2}\: and \: d_{2}2} are similar to each other.

4. All the five \mathrm{5 d} orbitals are different in size when compared to the respective \mathrm{ 4d} orbitals.

Solution:

The shapes of d-orbitals are given as

1726205450749

1726205451033

As evident from the orbital diagrams, the shapes of \mathrm{dx^{2}-y^{2}} and \mathrm{dz^{2}} are not similar.

Thus, Statement in option (3) is not correct. Hence answer is option (3).

Q 3. Which of the following is incorrect statement?

1. PbF4 is covalent in nature

2. SiCl4 is easily hydrolysed

3. GeX4 (X = F, Cl, Br, I) is more stable than GeX2

4. SnF4 is ionic in nature

Solution:

Fajans Rules -

It accounts for the covalent character in ionic compounds covalency is favored by

1. Small cation

2. Large anion and

3. Large charge on either ion

Condition for the formation of ionic bonds -

1. Low ionization potential of cation

2. High electron affinity of anion

3. high lattice energy

(i) PbF4 is not covalent. Because the Pb atom is very large & F atom is very small, according to Fajan's rule, PbF4 is not covalent.

(ii) SiCl4 is not a very stable compound because of steric hindrance thus can be hydrolyzed very easily

(iii) GeX4 is more stable than GeX2 as in GeX4 all the orbitals are fully filled.

(iv) SnF4 is ionic. Because the F atom is very small & Sn atom is very large, according to Fajan's rule, it is ionic.

Hence, the answer is the option (1).

Q 4. Which of the following p.V curve represents the maximum work done?

1. 1726205450511

2. 1726205450348

3. 1726205449823

4. 1726205449599

Solution:

In the P_V curve, the work is equal to the area under the P_V curve.

In graph (I) has the maximum area under the curve, so it will have maximum area under the curve

1726205450861

Hence, the correct option is 1.

Q 5. A tertiary butyl carbocation is more stable than a secondary butyl carbocation because of which of the following?

1. Hyperconjugation

2. -I effect of -CH3 groups

3. +R effect of CH3 groups

4. -R effect of -CH3 groups

Solution:

1726205450088

It has 9-\alpha hydrogens and thus it is stabilized through hyperconjugation.

Therefore, Option(1) is correct.

Hello Prashant,

To score well in NEET 2025, start by thoroughly understanding the syllabus. Focus on NCERT books for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, as they are the foundation for NEET. Ensure you cover every chapter and pay special attention to high-weightage topics like Human Physiology, Genetics, Organic Chemistry, and Mechanics, as these are frequently tested in the exam.

Create a structured study plan and allocate specific time for each subject daily. Be consistent with your schedule and dedicate time for practice, revision, and mock tests. It’s crucial to solve previous years’ NEET question papers and sample papers to familiarize yourself with the exam pattern and improve your time management skills.

Identify and work on your weak areas by dedicating extra time to those subjects or topics. If necessary, seek guidance from teachers, online platforms, or coaching institutes. Regularly revise the NCERT textbooks, especially for Biology, as it carries the highest weightage in the exam.

Consistency is key. Studying daily and focusing on understanding concepts rather than rote memorization will make a significant difference. Additionally, maintain a balanced lifestyle, eat healthily, and ensure you get 7-8 hours of sleep each night to stay focused and energized.

By following a well-organized study plan and staying disciplined, you can significantly improve your chances of achieving a high score in NEET 2025.
