NBE conducts the NEET PG exam for medical graduates every year. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) releases the eligibility criteria for NEET PG exam. Educational qualification: Candidates are required to possess an MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognised by the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
Certificate of registration: Candidates must have MBBS qualification registration (permanent/provisional) issued by MCI or State Medical Council (SMC) or Medical Council of India (MCI).
Internship: As per the eligibility criteria of NEET PG candidates must complete their one-year internship on or before the date fixed by the NBE.
There is no specified maximum limit on the number of times a candidate can attempt the NEET PG examination. The authority has not specified any age limit for NEET PG 2025. Candidates can attempt the exam as many times as they wish in their pursuit of a postgraduate medical degree.
The below-listed criteria must be fulfilled by the candidates for 50% AIQ seats:
As per the NEET PG 2025 eligibility criteria, medical graduates belonging to the state of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for AIQ 50% seats.
Only those candidates from J&K who have been nominated by the Government of India, under central pool seats, for pursuing MBBS from medical colleges in Jammu & Kashmir are eligible for AIQ 50% seats. These candidates have to submit a duly signed affidavit which declares that they have been nominated by the Government of India under the above-mentioned category.
