NEET PG Merit List 2018 – The National Board of Examinations (NBE), the NEET PG conducting body, has released the NEET PG Merit List 2018 on February 16, 2018. The NEET PG Rank Card was released late night on February 15, 2018. The link to check the NEET PG 2018 merit list, which as been released roll-number wise, has been made available on this page along with the link to check the NEET PG Rank Card. The merit list of NEET PG contains the roll numbers of candidates, their scores out of 1200 and their All India NEET PG 2018 Rank. The previously released rank card of NEET PG 2018 mentioned the Unique Rank for each candidate was also the All India Rank (AIR). The NEET PG 2018 rank card also indicated the percentile scores secured by each candidates as well as the number of correct and incorrect attempts made in the postgraduate medical entrance exam of NBE. Candidates can check the NEET PG merit list from the official link as given below on this page. The NEET PG 2018 candidates may note that no individual merit list/rank card of NEET PG will be sent to them. The All India NEET PG Rank has been calculated on the basis of candidates’ scores in the NEET PG entrance exam. If in case two or more candidates secure the same score, then the specified NEET PG 2018 tie-breaker criteria has been used and rank allocated accordingly. Earlier, the NBE had informed candidates through an official notification released on February 1 that the NEET PG merit list would be released on February 15, 2018. However, the merit list of NEET PG was not declared and only the rank cards had been made available on the official website which candidates could access with their login credentials, ie. Roll Number, Date of Birth as well as Captcha. As per the notification released by the NBE on February 15, "The merit position for All India 50% quota seats shall be declared separately". Now finally, on February 16, 2018, the roll number wise merit list of NEET PG has been declared.
NEET PG 2018 was held on January 7, 2018, and the result had been declared on January 23, 2018. The release date of NEET PG merit list 2018 had already been notified by NBE as February 15, 2018, however only the rank card had been released with the merit list being declared on February 16. Only those candidates who have scored equal to or more than the minimum qualifying percentile have been considered eligible for consideration in the NEET PG 2018 merit list. The NEET PG 2018 Merit List has been released on February 16, 2018 and contains the following:

As per the official NBE notification released on February 15 regarding the NEET PG 2018 rank card :
- Candidates have been assigned a unique NEET PG 2018 rank in descending order of their scores and after utilizing the tie-breaker criteria.
- Percentile of each candidate has also been declared in the NEET PG Rank Card 2018.
- The total number of correct and incorrect responses of each candidate in the NEET PG exam has also been declared.
- Candidates were required to submit the scanned copies of their MBBS marksheets to NBE for the preparation of NEET PG merit list. The NEET PG Rank has not been declared for candidates who entered their MBBS marks incorrectly in the application form submitted after the notification released on February 1, 2018.

Minimum qualifying percentile for NEET PG 2018 Merit List
Only those candidates who have secured the category-wise minimum qualifying percentile in NEET PG 2018 will be considered for the counselling process and final admissions. The minimum qualifying percentile of NEET PG refers to the lowest percentile required for clearing the exam and be included in the merit list. The minimum required percentile is given in the table below along with their respective categories.

All India NEET PG 2018 Merit List
All India NEET PG 2018 Merit List will indicate the overall merit positions of candidates who appeared for and cleared NEET PG 2018.
All India 50% Quota (AIQ) (Overall Rank or Merit List)
This merit list will be valid only for All India 50% quota seats. All the candidates who appeared in NEET PG 2018 and are eligible for admissions to All India 50% quota will be included in this. This merit list will be used to determine admissions for the seats which come under All India 50% Quota.
All India 50% Quota (AIQ) Category Merit List
This merit list of NEET PG 2018 will be valid for candidates who come under the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) in All India 50% quota.
State Quota or Union Territory (UT) Overall and Category-wise NEET PG Merit List 2018
Each State/Union Territory’s counselling authorities will release their separate merit lists using the marks secured by the candidates from their State in NEET PG 2018. Ranks given in state merit list will be used for admission to respective State Government and Private colleges.
Tie Breaker Criteria of NEET PG 2018 Merit List
The Tie Breaker Criteria in NEET PG 2018 will be used incase two candidates secure the same marks in NEET PG 2018. The parameters which will be used to determine the ranks of the candidates who score equal marks in NEET PG 2018 are as follows -
Number of Correct Responses: The candidate who obtains more number of correct responses in NEET PG 2018 will be preferred over the one with the lesser number of correct responses.
Marks in Qualifying Exam: If in case, tie still remains unresolved after considering the number of correct responses, then the marks of candidates in their MBBS professional examination shall be taken into consideration. The candidates are required to provide marks of all the MBBS professional examinations (Ist Professional+ IInd Professional + IIIrd Professional Part 1+ IIIrd Professional Part 2) along with total maximum marks of all the professional examinations in the required field of the NEET PG application form.
Age: In case the tie still persists, date of birth of the candidates will be considered. The older candidate will be placed in a higher position over the younger candidate in the merit list of NEET PG 2018.

NBE provides only the NEET PG candidates’ All India Ranks and Marks scored in NEET PG 2018 to the different State Counselling authorities. The states will then be responsible for their respective merit lists. NBE does not play any role in the NEET PG merit lists prepared by the various State counselling authorities.
No entrance exam will be conducted by any state or private institution at their own level with the exception of AIIMS, PGIMER and JIPMER. These institutes will conduct their separate entrance examination for admissions to postgraduate courses.
Candidates belonging to the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will not be considered for All India 50% quota rank.
NEET PG 2018 is a national level eligibility cum entrance exam for admission to various Postgraduate medical courses. The entrance exam was held on January 7, 2018, and the NEET PG result has been declared on January 23, 2018. The merit list of NEET PG 2018 was expected to be released by NBE on February 15, 2018. However, only the NEET PG rank card was released and the NEET PG merit list has been released on February 16.
