Question: Tell us something about your background?
Dr. Ronit: I have completed MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Institute of Medical Sciences Banaras Hindu University, IMS BHU Varanasi.
Question: How did you prepare for the NEET SS 2025 and please share the material you have used for preparation?
Dr. Ronit: I studied primarily from textbooks. I followed Bailey and Sabiston religiously for high yield topics. I read these textbooks 5 to 6 times each during the period of two years.I did not use notes for preparation. During the PG first year, I follow textbooks and in the second year, I start preparing from test series and MCQs.
Question: How did you finish top rank despite having a busy schedule as a resident doctor?
Dr. Ronit: It was not easy for me to prepare for NEET SS despite having a busy schedule at the hospital. After completing my working hours at the ward. I go directly to my room and start my study without wasting time.
Question: What challenges did you face during the preparation?
Dr. Ronit: Like others, I also faced a lot of challenges. With residency duties and limited study hours, I had to take care of both the things. Thankfully, I was able to manage both my duty as a resident and my studies which resulted in a huge success for me.
Question: What advice would you give to residents and juniors wishing to crack the NEET SS exam?
Dr. Ronit: I would advise resident doctors that use as much as the practical part of hospitals. The patients you see during the hospital duty hours. Memorize that knowledge and use the same during the exam. To juniors, I would suggest textbooks as these are the foundations to prepare for the entrance exam. They can also use videos for detailed information also.
