The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts the counselling for the 50% state quota seats of MD/ MS/ PG Diploma/ DNB courses in government and private medical colleges of Bihar. The authority has declared the Bihar NEET PG round 1 seat allotment result on November 30, 2024. Allotted candidates need to report for document verification and admission at their respective allotted college from December 1 to 4, 2024. Bihar NEET PG counselling 2024 will be conducted based on NEET PG scores. The counselling for Bihar NEET PG 2024 will be done in two major rounds - Round 1, Round 2 followed by a mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. Rank Cards of all eligible candidates who will fill their online registration form successfully and pay the registration fee as well as security deposit, will be released on the official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.

Only the aspirants who will secure the minimum cut-off marks in the NEET PG 2024 will be eligible for Bihar NEET PG 2024 counselling. The eligibility criteria for Bihar NEET PG counselling 2024 are as follows -
The candidate must be a citizen of India
The candidates must have passed the MBBS examination from any medical college of Bihar state or any other institute in India approved by the Medical Council of India/ National Medical Commission
The MBBS graduate must have completed satisfactorily one-year compulsory rotating internship as per the provision made by MCC
The aspirant must have obtained permanent registration from the Medical Council of India or Bihar State Medical Council.
The Bihar NEET PG counselling 2024 will be conducted to grant admission in 350 MD/MS seats, 5 diploma seats and 12 DNB seats across government medical colleges of Bihar. The below table mentions the category-wise seat matrix of Bihar NEET PG counselling 2024.

Bihar NEET PG 2024 registration - The candidates seeking admission through Bihar NEET PG counselling 2024 will have to register themselves in online mode. To register, the applicants will have to fill the application form of Bihar NEET PG 2024.
Bihar NEET PG 2024 merit list- Once the registration window is closed by the authority, a merit list of Bihar NEET PG 2024 will be published. The authority will draw and notify the combined as well as category–wise merit list based on All India merit ranking of NEET-PG-2024.
The Bihar NEET PG 2024 merit list will be available on the official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in under the “PGMAC 2024” section. The merit list will be based on the NEET PG score, cut-off scores, eligibility criteria and various other factors. The merit list will be generated for 50% state quota seats in MD/MS, DNB and PG diploma courses.
Bihar NEET PG 2024 choice filling - Once the merit list of Bihar NEET PG 2024 is out, the aspirants will have to fill their choices of course and colleges. Based on their order of preference of course and college, the seats will be allocated.
Bihar NEET PG 2024 seat allotment - The candidates whose name appears on the Bihar NEET PG 2024 merit list will have to sit for the counselling rounds and as per the choices of course and colleges opted by them, seats will be allotted.
Bihar NEET PG 2024 reporting - Once the seat allotment is done, the candidates will have to report at their allotted institutions for the document verification process. The list of documents that need to be submitted during the reporting period is mentioned below.
Bihar NEET PG 2024 admission - After successful document verification, the candidates will have to deposit their respective tuition fees. Only after the successful fee deposition, the admission will be considered valid. Also during the seat allotment process, to confirm the allotted seats, students will have to submit a security deposit. The details of the security deposit fee are as follows -

There will be four rounds of Bihar NEET PG counselling 2024 - Round 1, round 2, mop-up round and a stray vacancy round. Based on the Bihar NEET PG 2024 merit list of eligible candidates, the aspirants will have to fill their choices online for Bihar NEET PG 2024 counselling. After completion of the choice-filling process, seat allotment will be published on the board's website.
In case a candidate is allotted a seat during 1st round seat allotment, he/she will have to report at the reporting centre for document verification. After document verification, if his/her candidature is found eligible he/she will either take admission or go for free exit. But if the candidate gives willingness for upgradation during downloading of 1st round provisional seat allotment, then after document verification, they will have to wait for 2nd round seat allotment and their submitted documents will be retained at the reporting centre.
But if their choice is upgraded in round-2, then the candidate will have to join the college on an allotted seat during the second round. If a candidate does not join the institution/seat allotted during 2nd round within the scheduled period, the refundable security deposit will be forfeited. After joining the allotted seat in round-2, the candidate will not be eligible to participate in any further round of counselling.
It is to be noted that the allotments will be made through online mode for round-1 and round-2. The mop-up counselling will be offline. On the basis of online choice filling of the candidate, a provisional seat allotment order will be issued. Candidate’s who have filled their choices online for Bihar NEET PG 2024 counselling within the prescribed period and could not get any seat either in round-1 or round-2 of the online counselling, their security deposit amount will be credited in the bank account. Such candidates will be eligible for the mop up round of Bihar NEET PG 2024 counselling.
