Candidates wishing to appear in the NEET SS exam 2026, must fulfill the eligibility criteria. A detailed NEET SS eligibility criteria can be checked below.
Candidates must possess a postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS/DNB) or an equivalent degree.
Candidates must be registered with the NMC or a State Medical Council and must present valid documentary proof of registration at the exam centre on the NEET SS exam date.
Foreign nationals, including OCI cardholders, can appear for NEET SS 2026 even if they are not registered with the NMC. After admission, the NMC can grant them a temporary registration on payment of the required fee. This temporary registration is valid only for the duration of the postdoctoral course and only for the medical college where the candidate is admitted.

Step 1: Online registration
To register for the NEET SS 2026 exam, candidates have to visit the official website: nbe.edu.in or natboard.edu.in. Candidates are required to enter their personal and contact details. Once all the details are submitted, a login ID and password is sent to the registered email and mobile number.
Step 2: Filling NEET SS 2026 application form
Candidates have to login and fill the NEET SS application form 2026 mentioning the academic details, contact information and other asked details.
Step 3: Uploading documents in the NEET SS application form
In the next step, candidates are required to upload their recent passport size photograph, signature and left thumb impression. Candidates must ensure to upload the NEET SS 2026 documents in the format as prescribed by the authorities.
Step 4: Choosing exam centre
Once all the documents are uploaded, candidates are required to select their preferred NEET SS exam centres. NEET SS exam centres are allotted on a first come first served basis, therefore, candidates must fill application form as earliest as possible.
Step 5: Paying NEET SS application fee
The NEET SS 2026 application fee is Rs 3,500 per group. This implies, if a candidate wants to appear for two super specialty tests, he/she needs to pay 3500+3500 as NEET SS application form fee.
Step 6: Printout of confirmation page
Once the NEET SS application form is submitted, the confirmation page appears on the screen. Candidates are advised to download the NEET SS 2026 confirmation page for future reference.
Before issuing the admit cards, the authority releases the NEET SS city intimation slip. The NEET SS 2026 city intimation slip mentions the city where the exam centre will be located. The full details of the allotted exam centre are mentioned in the NEET SS hall ticket.
The NEET SS admit cards are issued to the registered candidates only. The NEET SS 2026 admit card is a mandatory document that must be carried to the examination centre along with other required documents. The admit card is also needed during the NEET SS counselling process, so candidates should keep it safe even after the exam.

The NEET SS result is declared online by NBE for all specialties. Candidates who appear for the entrance exam can check and download their NEET SS 2026 result from the official website. The NEET SS counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admission to DM and MCh seats. The counselling process is held in two rounds, and candidates must register separately for each round to participate. After registering, candidates have to fill in their choice of colleges and specialisations where they want admission. Seat allotment is done based on several factors such as NEET SS rank, preferences filled by candidates, seat availability, reservation rules, and other applicable criteria.
