The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is scheduled to conduct INI CET 2024 on May 19. With the announcement of Lok Sabha elections 2024 dates, aspirants around the country are concerned that INI CET 2024 will be postponed or not. However, as per media reports, the INI CET exam will be conducted as per the schedule as there is no election on the said date.
The INI CET stands for Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test. INI CET exam is held twice a year for January and July sessions.The exam is conducted for admission to Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) courses. The AIIMS has not yet postponed INI CET 2024. The announcement of Lok Sabha elections dates have prompted authorities to reschedule the exams. The parliamentary elections starting from April 19 across the country may affect the candidates. As the INI CET exam date, which is May 19, does not conflict with any polling date, but, it may cause several challenges to students. Many other exam dates facing disruptions due to polls have been revised. Meanwhile, INI CET is unlikely to be postponed and is expected to be held as per the schedule.
As of now, there has been no official update regarding the INI CET exam postponement. The INI CET 2024 schedule is expected to remain unchanged and will not be revised. The authority has started INI CET registrations for the July session at aiimsexams.ac.in. The admit card of INI CET will be released on May 13. The exam is on May 19 and results will be declared on May 25.
At this point of time, it is not expected that INI CET 2024 will be postponed. Candidates appearing for the postgraduate exam should focus on exam preparations and not to believe in the speculations. In order to appear for INICET MDS you need to pass BDS from an institute recognized by Dental Council of India securing 55% aggregate there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories, should have completed one year of rotatory internship, and must have completion certificate, and you need to possess the registration certificate issued by DCI/State Dental Council, as long as you fulfill the above mentioned criteria you can appear for INICET MDS, the fact that you cleared BDS in third attempt is not going to act as a barrier when it comes to appearing for the exam, visit our page at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/ini-cet to know more details regarding this.

The cutoff trends changes every year and it depends on the number of students appearing in the examination, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc.
With a rank around 5800, you cannot secure a General Category seat (Unreserved) as the INI CET January cutoff for MD/MD/DM/Mch was 3036 or 95.528 percentile. INI CET January Cutoff for MD was 24 under unreserved category.
