Hello dear student,

Yes maybe you want to give AIIMS entrance test but your student id as you know it's been cancelled not exactly cancel it is been merged with neet and now students appearing for medical examination they only have to study for one entrance test . And they will be judged on the basis of that entrance test means they will be judged on the marks they have obtained in the entrance test and they will get the medical college accordingly. So don't worry just prepare as you are preparing for Neet and that will help you . I hope this was helpful to you

Best wishes

is aiims and jipmer already cancelled for 2020?

Papeya Dubey Student Expert 19th Oct, 2019

From 2020 onwards, there will be only one entrance exam for MBBS and that's NEET.

AIIMS and JIPMER will no longer conduct their entrance exam as it used to happen before.

NEET will be the only entrance exam for admission to MBBS course from 2020-2021 session onwards.

When is the aiims and jimper getting scrapped? Is in on 2019-2020 or 2020-2021

Apoorva Student Expert 19th Oct, 2019
Hello dear student,
Dear student it now AIIMS and JIPMER will not be conducted separately as they used to while they will be merged with Neet because of many e reasons one among them is now students have to prepare only for one exam and on the basis of that one exam they will be judged and they will get a seat in their desired field in medical. So this will come into force from upcoming session that is 2020-21 . I hope this was helpful to you.
Best wishes

Papeya Dubey Student Expert 18th Oct, 2019

From 2020 onwards, there shall be only one entrance exam for MBBS and that's NEET.

AIIMS and JIPMER, no longer will conduct their entrance exam.

Now, coming to eligibility criteria for NEET which is based on aggregate for PCB against each category mentioned below-

  • UR - 50%,
  • OBC/SC/ST - 40%,
  • PWD - 45%

Although, you haven't mention your category, but your aggregate for PCB comes up to 61.3%, so you're definitely eligible for NEET. And, just to inform you there's no upper age limit and hence, no restriction in terms of appearing for NEET.
