A new notification has been issued by AIIMS New Delhi ahead of the much anticipated AIIMS exam converying the institute's best wishes for the candidates. The circular released with regard to the AIIMS MBBS exam day guidelines reiterates that the competition for seats through AIIMS MBBS is intense with minute mark differences causing major impacts. Further, the candidates appearing for AIIMS MBBS 2018 have been asked to maintain integrity and fairness during the examination and prevent practices that are unfair and that which could lead to cancellation of candidature. The candidates and their guardians have been asked to diligently follow the instructions that have been released for the exam day.

Candidates appearing for AIIMS MBBS 2018 should particularly check their exam date and timings in their AIIMS MBBS 2018 admit card. Candidates or their guardians should visit the centre a day before the exam in order to know about the exact location and how to reach there.
Candidates should reach the exam centre at the reporting time mentioned on the admit card, as entry after the Entry Closing Time will not be permitted.
The candidates with a significant Physical Disability should report even earlier to ensure a hassle-free entry process.
Candidates should mandatorily carry only three things – the AIIMS admit card, a valid Photo Identity card (Passport/Driving License/Voter ID card/ Aadhaar card etc.), and a recent coloured passport sized photograph.
Although there has been no particular AIIMS MBBS 2018 dress code specified for the candidates, it is expected that candidates will dress in accordance with the summer season.
Candidates should note that items such as clips, bands, large buttons, hats, caps, scarf, goggles, similar headgear, and thick-soled footwear are to be avoided.
Candidates wearing a particular headgear due to any custom or religion should reach the AIIMS exam centre early to allow the authorities with adequate time for frisking
Ornaments of any kind are not to be worn to the examination centre. Any electronic device capable of transmission or receipt of data such as mobiles, wristwatches are not allowed in the exam centre.
The allotted centres may not have the provision of storing the valuable items during the exam duration and thus, candidates are asked to come prepared accordingly.
The AIIMS MBBS 2018 is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and the candidates should familiarize themselves with the procedure by attempting the AIIMS mock test available at the official website.
Candidates have been asked not to use the keyboard during the examination. The pop-up screen simple calculator will be available for the candidates to use during the exam.
The sequence of the questions and the subjects will be different for all the candidates, and the particular sequence for a candidate will be displayed in his/her monitor.
The answers need to be saved by clicking on the ‘Save’ button and those marked for 'Review' at the end of the exam will not be automatically saved and thus, not be evaluated.
For rough work, the back of the admit cards and the rough sheets provided at the examination are to be used which are to be submitted at the end of the exam. The answers of those candidates who do not submit these will not be evaluated.
AIIMS MBBS 2018 Exam Day Schedule
The online test centres for AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be opened prior to the commencement of the examination. The entry of the candidates will be closed 15 minutes prior to the start of the test. Candidates are advised to report an hour before to avoid the last minute rush. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi will hold AIIMS MBBS MBBS 2018 in online mode as a Computer Based Test (CBT). For the first time, the exam will be held on two days across four different slots. There will be a total of 200 multiple-choice questions asked from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (comprising Zoology and Botany) and General Knowledge. AIIMS MBBS 2018 Exam Day Guidelines – Things Required
The candidates appearing for AIIMS MBBS entrance test are required to carry the following things when reporting to the examination centre as per the AIIMS MBBS exam day guidelines 2018. Biometric data (digital photo and finger prints) of all the candidates will be collected once they are inside the examination hall. These include
Valid Photo-Identity Proof (Voter ID, Aadhaar card, Passport, Driving licensce etc.)

AIIMS MBBS 2018 Exam Day Guidelines – Prohibited Items
Certain items are not allowed in the examination centre as per the AIIMS exam day guidelines 2018. Candidates found in the possession of such items inside the examination hall will be prohibited from undertaking the test and cause cancellation of their candidature. The exam day guidelines of AIIMS MBBS 2018 lists a range of items that are candidates are not allowed to carry.
Electronic devices (e.g. mobile phones, smart/programmable watches, smartphones, calculators, iPad, tabs, electronic watches, etc.),
Slide rule, log books, study material of any type, geometry box, written or white (blank) paper/piece of paper, wallets, etc.
Ornaments, head gear, hair band, hair clips, belt, bags, credit cards and debit card are not allowed inside the examination hall.
AIIMS 2018 Exam Day Guidelines – Dos and Don’ts
Report to the examination centre on time to ensure that there is no rush in the last minute.
Copy from other candidates as it could lead to disqualification.
Remember to carry the admit card and a valid photo identity proof
Converse with anyone else other than the invigilator(s)
Co-operate with the authorities during the process of security check.
Attempt to note down the questions during the exam as it is considered to be a criminal act.
Maintain calm and focus on the solving the questions
Leave the exam hall without handing over the admit card and rogh sheet to the invigilator.
