Only the aspirants who secured the NEET UG cutoff are eligible for Meghalaya AYUSH counselling 2026. The eligibility criteria are as follows -
The candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognised by the concerned state government and Andhra Pradesh education board with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.
Aspirants should have scored a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% marks for reserved category students)
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years as on 31st December, 2026.
The student should be medically fit and must present a certificate for the same. Failing to do so, no admission will be given.
The aspirants will have to secure the minimum cut-off set by the authority in the NEET UG 2026. Students can check the NEET previous year’s cut-off score from the table mentioned below.

The application form is available in offline mode only, and no other means of submission will be entertained. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to fill out the Meghalaya AYUSH application form 2026.
Go to the Meghalaya AYUSH counselling official website - neiah.nic.in and download the official prospectus. An application form will be attached with the prospectus.
Select the course the candidate wishes to apply for.
Enter all the personal details such as - candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, communication address, gender, DOB, religion, category, email ID and a valid mobile number.
Enter all the qualification details of 10th standard and 12th standard.
Enter the details of the NEET 2026 exam - Roll Number, All India Rank, Category rank and marks obtained.
Enter the details of the fee payment such as - Amount, demand draft number, date on which the DD is issued and the bank and branch name. The application fee is Rs.1,000 for the general category students and Rs.500 for the reserved category.
Attach a self-attested copy of all the listed documents in the application form and mark the same in the application form.
The candidates will have to submit copies of certain documents listed on the application form. The duly filled application form, along with the attached copies of documents, needs to reach the counselling body within the prescribed time. These documents are as follows -

Once the registration window for Meghalaya AYUSH admissions 2026 is closed by the authority, a merit list will be published. The Meghalaya AYUSH 2026 merit list will be based on the NEET UG score, AIR, cut-off scores, eligibility criteria and various other factors. The merit list will be generated for 85% state quota seats in AYUSH UG courses (BAMS, BHMS).
Meghalaya AYUSH NEET 2026 merit list will include the name of the candidate, All India rank, and NEET 2026 score. Aspirants whose names appear on the merit list will have to sit for the counselling rounds. During the counselling process, aspirants must provide their preference for courses, and the colleges' preference.
Once the Meghalaya AYUSH registration process is completed, the authority releases the dates for the Meghalaya AYUSH counselling 2026. Candidates will be able to select courses and colleges as per their preference. A merit list will be published based on the NEET UG scores. Only the aspirants fulfilling the eligibility criteria and securing the minimum cut-off will be able to sit in the offline counselling.
The method of selection is as follows -
A combined state-wise & category-wise merit list of all the aspirants will be drawn based on their performance in the NEET 2026.
Inter-se merit: In the case of two or more candidates securing equal marks in the inter-se merit shall be determined as per All India Rank in NEET-2026.
Selected students will have to attend the counselling, document verification and medical examination at the Institute at their own cost on the notified date. At the time of document verification, candidates will have to attend in person and will have to produce the original mark sheets of the qualifying examination and other original documents such as proof of age, caste certificate, domicile certificate, character certificate, etc.
Candidates who fail to attend the counselling/medical examination on the notified date shall forfeit their claim for admission and placement in the waiting list.
The final result and other related notifications will be placed on the official website neiah.nic.in and the notice board of NEIAH, Shillong.

The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy, Meghalaya (NEIAH) will conduct the offline counselling for the Meghalaya AYUSH counselling.
The courses offered under Meghalaya AYUSH counselling 2026 are Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS).
A total of 18 seats will be available for admission under the Meghalaya AYUSH counselling 2026. There are 9 seats each in BHMS and BAMS under the 85% state quota seats.
Only the NEET UG qualified students will be allowed to sit for the offline counselling of Meghalaya AYUSH.
The NEET UG 2026 exam is mandatory for appearing in the Meghalaya AYUSH counselling 2026. There is no separate entrance exam for admission to the AYUSH courses.
