Amid the discussions about shifting the NEET 2025 exam mode to online, RTI activist, Dr. Vivek Pandey wrote to NTA citing that if NEET UG 2025 is shifted to online mode in multiple shifts, then it could affect the students from economically weaker sections due to the limited access to technology and internet.

The NEET exam 2025 date was announced by NTA. The NEET 2025 exam was conducted on May 4, 2025 from 2 PM to 5.20 PM across India and abroad. Last year, over 24 lakh candidates registered for NEET. This year, the number is expected to increase making the entrance test even more challenging.
The NMC and NTA released the syllabus for NEET UG 2025 exam. The authority did not make any changes in the NEET 2025 syllabus which is similar to the last year's NEET syllabus.
The NTA conducted the NEET 2025 exam in pen and paper mode on May 4, 2025. The NEET UG 2025 exam was conducted at 566 NEET exam centres. window. The NEET exam pattern 2025 has changed. As per the latest notice, the NEET question paper will carry of 180 MCQs. The NTA has removed optional question choices from NEET paper, then as per the latest NEET exam pattern, only 180 questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
Currently, there is no limit on the number of attempts for the NEET Exam, however as per media reports, the NTA can bring back the NEET attempt restrictions in 2025. Earlier, before 2018, there were restrictions over the maximum number of attempts for each candidate, but later the authorities removed these restrictions to bring some sense of relief to the students.
As per various media reports, there might be an introduction of Biometric attendance in NEET 2025 to avoid cases of impersonation and cheating. Till now, the attendance of students is taken offline which is time-consuming and has a risk of cheating. To ensure fair practice, the NTA is likely to introduce a biometric attendance system in NEET UG 2025.

Yes , the NEST exam is generally considered tougher than NEET as it requires more focus towards conceptual understanding and thinking , while NEET generally tests NCERT based knowledge where as in NEST it requires you to have deeper clarity in Physics , Chemistry , Biology and Mathematics.
