December 18, 2024: The Radhakrishnan committee set up for the potential changes in NEET 2025 and the NTA both are in favour of the online conduct of NEET UG in CBT mode. If this happens, candidates can expect changes in NEET 2025 exam.
December 17, 2024: NMC has published the NEET 2025 syllabus at nmc.org.in. As per the official PDF, there is no change this year in the NEET syllabus.
December 12, 2024: NTA in its response said that they are waiting for the expert committee report which is currently evaluating the potential changes in NEET 2025 exam pattern.
December 2, 2024: The NTA is likely to announce the NEET exam date 2025 in December. The experts committee which was reviewing NEET 2025 exam pattern, has submitted its report to the education ministry. The official authority will announce the possible changes soon along with the NEET exam calendar 2025.
November 30, 2024: Amid the ongoing discussions about shifting the NEET 2025 exam mode to online, RTI activist, Dr. Vivek Pandey has written to NTA citing that if NEET UG 2025 is shifted to online mode in multiple shifts, then it could affect the students from economically weaker sections due to the limited access to technology and internet.

The NEET exam 2025 date will be announced by NTA soon. However, it is expected that the NEET 2025 will be conducted on May 4, 2025 from 2 PM to 5.20 PM across India and abroad. Meanwhile, no official notification from the NTA has been released yet. Last year, over 24 lakh candidates registered for NEET. This year, the number is expected to increase making the entrance test even more challenging.
A seven-member expert committee has submitted its report to the education ministry on the conduct of NEET 2025 exam. The panel has recommended several changes in NEET 2025 which include a hybrid model, fewer attempts, a two-stage exam, digital NEET question papers and more. NTA has not made any official announcement about these changes. The expert committee was set up by the Supreme Court after the objections were raised by the RTI activists about the NEET UG exam.
It is expected that the NEET exam pattern 2025 will most likely be changed. The NTA in its response has stated that the potential changes in NEET 2025 exam pattern are being evaluated by an expert committee and is waiting for the response for the same. At present, the NEET question paper consists of 200 MCQs out of which candidates have to answer only 180 questions. However, if the NTA removes optional question choices from NEET paper, then as per the NEET exam pattern, only 180 questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
