MCC NEET PG Counselling 2025 Round 3: Types of Seats

The NEET PG Round 3 seat matrix categorises seats based on their availability status. Understanding these seat types is essential for effective choice filling during the round 3 NEET PG counselling 2025.

1. Virtual Vacancy

These seats are currently occupied but may become vacant if a candidate is upgraded to another seat during NEET PG round 3 counselling 2025. Virtual vacancies are created when candidates opt for upgradation. However, these seats are conditional and may not convert into actual vacancies.

2. Clear Vacancy

Clear vacancies are seats that are already vacant at the beginning of Round 3. These vacancies arise due to non-joining of candidates, resignations after Round 2, or unfilled seats from earlier rounds. Clear vacancies are confirmed and guaranteed for allotment in round 3.

3. Newly Added Seats

These are seats that were not available during previous counselling rounds but are added before Round 3. Such seats may be introduced due to approval of new medical colleges, increased seat intake, or delayed reporting by institutions. Newly added seats are treated as fresh vacancies.
