Goa MBBS Application Details
The application form of Goa state MBBS/BDS has released by the Goa state counselling authority. The application process has been started on March 13, 2018, and will last till May 25, 2018.
Goa MBBS Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying to Goa MBBS/BDS admission have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria: 1. The candidates applying for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in the state of Goa must be Indian citizens. 2. NRI/OCI/PIO candidates holding Indian passport are also eligible to apply under the NRI category. 3. Candidates must be of 17 years of age as on or before December 31 of the academic year for which admission is sought. 4. The candidates should be a domicile of Goa wherein they are required to reside in the state for a period of at least 10 years. Relaxations to be residential requirement will be allowed in either of the following cases: a) Candidates residing outside Goa on account of posting/leave/training/deputation of either of parents being employees of the Goa State Government will be counted towards the continuous residence of 10 years (5 years for those whose either of the parent/grandparent is born in Goa). b) Candidates residing in any state other than Goa under the scheme of Exchange Programme as the student of Navodaya Vidyalaya from Goa will be counted towards the ten years continuous residence in Goa (5 years for those whose either of the parent/grandparent is born in Goa). c) Candidates born in Goa and has studied and passed qualifying examination (Class 12 ) from schools/colleges in the State of Goa, should have minimum residence of overall 10 years (5 years for those whose either of the parent/grandparent is born in State of Goa), as on last date of submission of application for admission. 5. Candidates must have passed Class 12 with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English from any institution recognized by the Goa state government, passing in each of the individual subjects. 6. The aggregate percentage of marks to be secured by the candidates in order to be eligible for the admission process is 50% (for unreserved category), 45% (for Physically handicapped), and 40% (for the reserved category including PH reserved). 7. Candidates should also secure the minimum qualifying percentile in the NEET UG examination.
