The NEET 2026 registration window is open till March 8, 2026. As per the NEET 2026 new rules introduced by the authority, e-KYC has been made mandatory. Although it is advised to complete the NEET 2026 e-KYC through Aadhaar card. However, candidates can also complete the NEET 2026 e-KYC without Aadhaar.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the NEET UG 2026 application form link on the official website. Students can register themselves at neet.nta.nic.in.

The NTA has introduced some NEET 2026 new rules this year. One of the major NTA NEET 2026 exam changes made this year includes a digital identity verification. The NEET 2026 e-KYC confirms a candidate’s personal details by checking whether the applicant’s name, date of birth, gender and photograph are authentic and match with the government records. The e-KYC process is conducted during the NEET 2026 registration.

The NEET application form 2026 can be filled without Aadhaar e-KYC. If a candidate does not have an Aadhaar Card or the Aadhaar is not updated, he/ she can proceed with the application form process without Aadhaar. While filling the NEET 2026 application form, candidates have to register their identity details as shown in the picture below. However, if a candidate an alternate option, they can complete the eKYC without Aadhaar in NEET 2026

Candidates can submit e-KYC without Aadhaar in NEET 2026. The other ID proofs accepted in the NEET application form are:
DigiLocker
Indian Passport Number
Non-Indian Passport Number
PAN Card Number
Any other valid/current Central or State government issued photo ID card
To complete the e-KYC without Aadhaar NEET 2026, candidates must follow the below mentioned steps.
Go to the NTA NEET 2026 official website.
Click on the ‘Register Identity Details’ tab.
Then click on ‘If you do not have Aadhaar, click here to select an alternate identification option’.
An ‘Identity Type Details’ section opens up on the screen.
Choose an alternate identification option from the available options.
Fill the details of the alternate identity card and click on ‘Submit’.
The portal retrieves the data from the government data and cross verifies the information filled in the application form.
The candidate’s ID is authenticated and application form can be filled further.
If candidates have selected DigiLocker as an alternate identity option while completing the e-KYC in NEET 2026 without Aadhaar, they need to follow the below mentioned steps.
Go to the NEET official website.
Click on the ‘Register Identity Details’ tab.
Then click on ‘If you do not have Aadhaar, click here to select an alternate identification option’.
Choose ‘DigiLocker’ in the ‘Identity Type Details’ section.
Enter your DigiLocker account details to login.
Give your consent and click on ‘Proceed’.
Click on the document name you want the NTA portal to fetch from the Digilocker.
Click on ‘Allow’.
The system automatically authenticates the identity details and displays a successful message.
NEET 2026 Aadhaar-based e-KYC is recommended strongly as it is integrated with UIDAI and enables instant verification. However, Aadhaar is not mandatory for NEET 2026. Candidates can proceed with e-KYC in NEET 2026 without Aadhaar. This is beneficial for candidates who do not have an Aadhaar card, their details are not updated or they are facing OTP issues with the Aadhaar card.
