The number of candidates appeared for INI CET May 2026 will be updated after the conclusion of the exam. The complete stats of INI CET of the registered, appeared or qualified candidates can be checked here. Around 58,000 candidates appeared in the previous INI CET 2026 exam. Out of these, 32,374 candidates had qualified the exam.
The total INI CET qualified candidates list will be released along with the results. The exact number of qualified candidates will be updated soon. AIIMS does not release INI CET statistics of the registered, appeared or qualified candidates. Students who qualify the exam will be allowed to take part in the counselling process and get admission for MD, MS, DM (6 yrs), MCh (6 yrs) courses.
There are several factors that influence the total candidates appeared for the INI CET examination.
AIIMS, PGIMER, NIMHANS, JIPMER and SCTIMST are considered as prestigious institutions in the country. To get admission in PG courses, aspirants find it convenient to appear for the examination.
The availability of seats in the above-mentioned colleges also affect the number of students who appeared in the exam.
Candidates who fail to get their preferred specialisation in the NEET PG exam appear for the INI CET exam.
After the declaration of results, the authority conducts the INI CET 2026 counselling in online mode. Candidates who qualify the exam are eligible to participate in the INI CET counselling. Such candidates will be required to fill and lock their preferences of courses and colleges. The allotment of seats is done based on merit list, choices filled by the candidates and availability of the seats in participating colleges.

Yes, M.Ch Cranio Maxillofacial Surgery is offered at AIIMS Rishikesh. Candidates can take up the three-year Super specialty course after qualifying INI CET exam. Candidates must hold M.S. (or its equivalent degree) from a recognised institute.
Candidates can make corrections of rejected Images and incorrect registration details for INI CET May 2026 session through the correction window from April 30 to May 2, 2026.

If your basic registration is already accepted, you’ll be able to generate your EUC once AIIMS opens the final registration window. Just log in to the AIIMS INI CET portal, click on the Generate EUC and then proceed with your final registration.
