INI CET November 2026 Exam Analysis: Everyone wants the INI CET November 2026 exam analysis the moment the paper ends, but the exam has not been held yet. The INI CET exam is on 1 November 2026, for the January 2027 session. So this is an expected analysis, built from past papers, and not a report of what happened in the exam hall. We counted about 760 questions from four past papers to estimate what the INI CET Nov 2026 exam analysis is likely to look like. All figures are our own estimates, not official AIIMS data, and the real paper can differ. Use this article to prepare, and come back to compare it with the real analysis after the exam.

How we built the expected Exam Analysis.
We used the tagged questions from July 2021, November 2021, May 2022 and a second 2022 paper. We left out repeats within a paper, 35 untagged questions from May 2022, and the 2020 paper, whose subject tags are too coarse. The INI CET exam analysis 2026 below is therefore an expectation from these four papers.

Each section has 50 questions and 45 minutes, which is 54 seconds per question. Once a section closes, you cannot go back. So the first thing the paper tests is pace.
Section | Questions | Time | Per question | Suggested approach |
1 | 50 | 45 min | 54 sec | First pass in about 38–40 minutes, then revisit marked questions |
2 | 50 | 45 min | 54 sec | Same |
3 | 50 | 45 min | 54 sec | Same |
4 | 50 | 45 min | 54 sec | Same |
The suggested approach is advice, not an official rule. The exam page does not say whether the four sections follow subject groups, so do not assume that Section 1 will be one particular subject.
Out of 200 questions, this is how many we expect from each subject, based on its share of the past papers. The ranges are wide on purpose.
Subject | Share in past papers. | Expected questions of 200 |
Obstetrics and Gynaecology | 9.7% | 17–22 |
Pharmacology | 8.6% | 15–19 |
Surgery | 8.5% | 15–19 |
Pathology | 8.1% | 14–18 |
Medicine | 7.7% | 13–17 |
Microbiology | 6.3% | 11–14 |
PSM | 6.3% | 11–14 |
Biochemistry | 6.2% | 11–14 |
Physiology | 5.9% | 10–13 |
Anatomy | 5.8% | 10–13 |
Forensic Medicine | 4.5% | 7–10 |
Paediatrics | 3.8% | 6–9 |
Ophthalmology | 3.8% | 6–9 |
Orthopaedics | 2.9% | 4–7 |
Dermatology | 2.9% | 4–7 |
Radiology | 2.6% | 4–6 |
ENT | 2.2% | 3–5 |
Anaesthesia | 2.2% | 3–5 |
Psychiatry | 2.1% | 3–5 |
Anatomy, Physiology, PSM and Pharmacology kept a steady share in every paper. Medicine, Microbiology and Obstetrics and Gynaecology are more uncertain. So any of them can give more or fewer questions than the table suggests.
Chapter | Subject |
Neurology, Cardiology, Pulmonology | Medicine |
Gastrointestinal Surgery, Endocrine Surgery | Surgery |
Genetics | Biochemistry |
Systemic Bacteriology | Microbiology |
Neuroanatomy | Anatomy |
Nose and Paranasal Sinuses, Ear | ENT |
Forensic Toxicology, Forensic Traumatology | Forensic Medicine |
National Health Programs | PSM |
Immunity | Pathology |
Several more chapters were present in all four papers that are tagged in detail, among them Obstetrics, Gynaecology, General Pharmacology, Neoplasia, Haematology (red cells) and Hepatobiliary-Pancreatic Surgery.
We expect the paper to be moderate to difficult. Three things point that way:
Time. 54 seconds per question, with locked sections.
Question mix. In the past papers, about 21% of questions were clinical cases, 17% image-based and 14% multi-statement. These take longer than direct facts.
Negative marking. A wrong answer costs ⅓ mark.
On the other side, most question stems were short, with a median of 11 to 18 words. If you know the fact, you can answer fast. The style counts come from keywords in the questions, so treat them as approximate.
When candidates start sharing the INI CET exam review, compare it with this expectation. Look for four things:
Difficulty rating. Does the common view match "moderate to difficult"?
Heavy subjects. Did Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pharmacology, Surgery and Pathology lead again?
Question style. Were there more images or statement questions than before?
Pace. Did most candidates finish each section in 45 minutes?
Treat any single student's feedback with care, because one person's section can differ from another's.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The exam is listed for 1 November 2026. A real exam analysis can only come after the paper is held. Until then, this article gives an expected analysis based on past papers.
We expect it to be moderate to difficult, mainly because of time pressure and negative marking.
In our count of past papers, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pharmacology, Surgery and Pathology had the highest share, followed by Medicine. This is an estimate and the real paper can differ.
