INI CET November 2026 High-Weightage Subjects: During the final stretch of INI CET exam preparation or revision, it becomes difficult to revise all 19 subjects equally. The smarter move is to know which subjects carry the most marks and put your hours there. AIIMS does not publish subject-wise weightage, so we counted it ourselves from past papers. We classified 764 questions from four papers by subject and checked how steady each subject's share was from paper to paper. The INI CET November 2026 exam, officially the January 2027 session, is on November 1. So, the high-weightage subjects are what you should revise first. This article covers the INI CET November 2026 high-weightage subjects, based on trends in INI CET previous year papers and expert analysis.

The four Tier 1 subjects hold 267 of 764 questions (35%). Tier 2 holds 291 (38%), and Tier 3 holds 206 (27%). So ten subjects carry nearly three-quarters of the paper.
Steady subjects. Anatomy stayed between 5.5% and 6.0% in every paper, and Physiology, PSM and Pharmacology also moved within a narrow band. You can count on these.
Swinging subjects. Medicine ranged from 5.5% to 11.0%, Microbiology from 3.6% to 8.5%, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology from 6.5% to 11.5%. These can give you many marks or few in any one paper, so do not skip them on the hope of a light year.
Small but spiky. Anaesthesia ranged from 0.5% to 3.5%. Paediatrics ranged from 2.5% to 6.1%. Treat them as a chapter-wise short list, not full subjects.
Subject | Chapters that led the count |
Obstetrics and Gynaecology | Obstetrics (39), Gynaecology (35) |
Pharmacology | General Pharmacology (16), CNS (8), CVS (8) |
Surgery | Gastrointestinal (14), Hepatobiliary-Pancreatic (11), Endocrine (11) |
Pathology | Neoplasia (14), Haematology: RBC (11), Immunity (7) |

This is a suggestion, not data. Adjust it to your own weak areas.
Priority | Subjects | How to use the time |
First | Tier 1 | Revise the chapters in the table above, then attempt questions. |
Second | Tier 2 | Keep daily slots. Short facts in Biochemistry, Microbiology and Anatomy require quick reading. |
Third | Tier 3 | Do one high-yield chapter each (for example, Glaucoma, ENT nose and ear, Spine and Pelvis fractures). |
Always | Mock tests | Practise the four timed sections of 45 minutes each. |
Remember the marking: a wrong answer costs ⅓ mark, so guess only after you remove options. The last 15 days mock test plan and the time management guide can help you pace the paper.
The count is based on 764 questions from four papers, not on full official papers.
The mark ranges are our estimates from the share, not an AIIMS breakup.
Tags come from the files, and we merged spelling variants ourselves.
A new paper may shift the numbers, especially in swinging subjects.
