The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released an important notification regarding NEET PG counselling 2025 round 3, allowing eligible candidates to convert their category from Indian to NRI. This NRI conversion facility can be done through email and is available from January 15 to 17, 2026. Candidates seeking admission under the NRI quota must carefully review the eligibility criteria, document requirements, and deadlines announced by MCC to avoid rejection in the round 3 NEET PG 2025 counselling. The MCC has provided a limited time window for the Indian to NRI conversion and hence it is important for candidates to keep a track of the application window. The application dates for Indian to NRI conversion for round 3 NEET PG counselling 2025 is provided below.

The NBEMS has released the revised NEET PG 2025 cutoff on January 13, 2026 before the commencement of the round 3 counselling. Also, with the NRI conversion window being active till January 17, 2026,
Eligible candidates who want to convert their nationality from Indian to NRI must send all required documents in a single email only to the official MCC email ID: nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com. Sending documents in multiple emails or missing the deadline will result in cancellation of the conversion request.
Candidates applying under MCC NEET PG Counselling 2025 Round 3 must submit the following documents for Indian to NRI conversion -
NEET PG Admit Card
Proof of NRI status of parent/relative
Valid passport
NRI certificate issued by Embassy or Indian Consulate
Visa / Residence Permit / OCI / PIO card (if applicable)
Certificate of relationship between the NRI sponsor and the candidate Issued by a competent Revenue Authority through a Family Tree
Notarized affidavit from the NRI sponsor stating: Sponsorship of the entire course fee, Sponsorship of living expenses during the period of study, Supported by an NRE (Non-Resident External) bank account passbook, Passport of the candidate or sponsor (optional)
Once a candidate’s category is converted from Indian to NRI, the change is final and applicable for all subsequent rounds of NEET PG counselling from round 3 onwards.
Candidates converted to NRI status cannot avail benefits under: Muslim Minority quota, Jain Minority quota, and any other reserved category
If any submitted document is found to be fake or incorrect, MCC may Cancel provisional seat allotment and Initiate legal action against the candidate

Yes, you are eligible. After completing Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Pathology, you can appear again for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate if you have a valid MBBS degree and registration with the National Medical Commission. However, government rules about funding or seat eligibility may vary.
