While filling out the NEET 2026 application form, candidates are required to upload specific documents to verify their identity, educational qualification, age and residence. Candidates will be required to have a valid Aadhaar card and a 12-digit unique APAAR ID for the NEET registration. Other documents required for NEET application form such as voter ID, ration card, bank passbook with photograph and passport are also accepted by the authority. To fill out the application form of NEET 2026, applicants must submit the mandatory documents to ensure the person appearing for the exam is the same as the person who registered.

The NTA has introduced NEET live photograph capture feature for applicants. The live photo is being used for extra identity verification and to prevent impersonation of applicants. During the application process, candidates must take a live photo and upload the same along with other NEET 2026 documents. The live photo must be matched with the photograph as per the Aadhar card database. In case, the live photograph does not match with the Aadhaar photograph, such candidate will be required to upload a valid supporting certificate specified by the authority.
For NEET 2026, APAAR ID is a mandatory tool for storing academic records in digital format. APAAR is a 12-digit unique academic ID required for NEET registration. As a part of the ‘One Nation, One Student ID’ campaign, it links student’s DigiLocker accounts and stores all academic records digitally. To generate NEET APAAR ID, candidates will be required to submit details such as unique student identifier, date of birth, gender, mobile number, name as per Aadhaar, Aadhaar number and other details.
The NEET 2026 exam is scheduled for May 3, 2026. Medical aspirants who submit their application forms successfully and download admit cards will be allowed to appear in the NEET entrance exam.
