    The choice of postgraduate medical branch is an important factor during NEET PG counselling. Among the various branches, the top 5 most competitive branches in NEET PG are MD Radio-Diagnosis, MD Dermatology, MD General Medicine, MD Paediatrics and MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology. These top 5 competitive branches in NEET PG 2026 are based on the 2025 All India Quota closing ranks. Last year, MD Radio-Diagnosis was the most competitive branch with a closing rank of 6,263, followed by MD Dermatology at 7,844, MD General Medicine at 9,511, MD Paediatrics at 11,883 and MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology at 14,217.

    NEET PG 2026 LIVE: MCC counselling dates for 50% AIQ seats soon; MD, MS closing ranks

    NBEMS will announce the NEET PG counselling dates soon on the official website. The NEET PG result was announced on September 24 and scorecard and answer key was out on October 1. Qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling process, which will be conducted by MCC.
