The counselling process involves several stages, including registration, choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment, result declaration and reporting to the allotted college. 1. NEET PG 2026 Counselling Registration

Candidates should ensure that all details entered during registration are correct before submitting the form.
2. NEET PG 2026 Seat Matrix
Before filling choices, candidates should check the NEET PG 2026 seat matrix released for the respective counselling round. The seat matrix provides information about the available postgraduate medical seats in participating medical colleges, courses, specialities and seat categories. In this stage, candidates have to select and arrange their preferred colleges, courses and specialities from the available options. Candidates should refer to the latest NEET PG 2026 seat matrix while filling their choices. Factors such as preferred speciality, medical college, seat category, location, previous-year closing ranks and personal preferences can be considered while preparing the choice list. Candidates are advised to enter a sufficient number of choices to improve their chances of getting a preferred seat.
4. NEET PG 2026 Choice Locking
After completing choice filling, candidates must lock their NEET PG 2026 choices within the deadline mentioned in the counselling schedule. Before locking the choices, candidates should carefully check the order of preference because the choices are considered during the seat allotment process according to the applicable MCC counselling rules.
