The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the counselling for the 50% AIQ seats and decides the reservation criteria for these seats. The reservation criteria for 50% AIQ seats of NEET PG 2025 are mentioned below.

Each Indian state government authorises a body for the counselling of the state quota seats. The NEET PG reservation criteria for state quota seats varies from state to state and is determined by the authorised counselling body. However, a 5% horizontal reservation is given to PwBD candidates in each state under the state quota seats.
The NEET PG reservation is awarded to different categories. A brief detail of the reservation policy for different categories in NEET PG 2025 for the 50% AIQ seats are as follows -
SC reservation criteria for NEET PG 2025 - 15% seats are reserved for the SC candidates in NEET PG 2025. The NEET PG 2025 reservation policy for SC category ensures adequate representation of candidates from scheduled cast.
ST reservation criteria for NEET PG 2025 - 7.5% seats are reserved for the ST candidates in NEET PG 2025. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifying criteria to avail the benefit of NEET PG 2025 reservation.
OBC criteria for NEET PG 2025 - OBC candidates who falls under the non-creamy layer are granted reservation benefits of 27% in NEET PG. The percentage of seats allocated to OBCs may vary from state to state, but it generally falls within the range determined by the statutory bodies.
EWS criteria for NEET PG 2025 - In 2019, the Indian government introduced reservation benefits for candidates belonging to the economically weaker sections. A 10% reservation is granted to the EWS candidates in NEET PG 2025.
NEET PG 2025 reservation criteria for PwBD category - NEET PG provides reservation for candidates with disabilities. PwD candidates are given 5% horizontal reservation in NEET PG 2025.
The reservation criteria for NEET PG 2025 are implemented as per the guidelines issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the National Medical Commission (NMC), and the respective state governments. The authorities ensure that the reservation policy is followed during the counselling and admission process to maintain fairness and transparency in the NEET PG 2025.

Yes, MCC can reduce the NEET PG cutoff if many seats remain vacant during counselling. The decision depends on seat availability in each round. Cutoff reduction does not happen every year. Candidates should keep checking the official MCC website for updates.
