Eligibility criteria for NEET UG 

To secure a seat in medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh offering MBBS courses, candidates must adhere to the NEET eligibility criteria specified by the NTA. The eligibility criteria for undergraduate medical entrance exam are detailed as follows: 

  • Qualifying criteria: Candidates must achieve the minimum NEET cutoff percentile which is 50% General category, 40% for SC/ST/ OBC category and 45% General PwD category. 

  • Age requirement: Candidates should be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year. 

  • Educational qualification: Aspirants must have appeared or appearing in 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English as core subjects. 

  • Domicile requirement: To be eligible for state quota seats in Madhya Pradesh, candidates must meet the NEET domicile criteria specified by the state.

NEET UG, NEET PG and NEET SS admission process: Candidates who have qualified in NEET are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The Medical Counselling Committee conducts the NEET UG counselling, handling allocation of 15% All India Quota seats. Furthermore, MP NEET counselling is responsible for assigning the remaining 85% of state quota seats. 

For the postgraduate admission process, NEET PG qualified candidates can take part in the counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The NEET PG counselling is conducted for 50% of the All India Quota seats and the 100% seats in deemed and central universities, along with ESIC institutes. The remaining 50% state quota seats are filled through Madhya Pradesh NEET PG counselling

For super specialty admission, NEET SS qualified candidates are required to participate in the counselling process. NEET SS counselling is also conducted by the MCC. Further counselling steps are given below. 

  • In each round of counselling, candidates are required to register at mcc.nic.in and fill their preferences for colleges and courses. 

  • For state quota counselling, candidates are required to register at dme.mponline.gov.in.

INI CET admission process: INI CET qualified candidates are eligible to take part in the counselling process. AIIMS, New Delhi conducts INI CET counselling. For the counselling process, candidates are required to register at aiimsexams.ac.in. Further, aspirants have to fill their preferences of courses and colleges. The seat allotment result is published in online mode. Candidates granted seats in the online counselling have to report at the allotted institutes within the stipulated time.

NEET UG: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts NEET once every year in a pen-paper mode across the country.
