The panel recommends conducting entrance tests online wherever feasible. If an online format is not practical, a hybrid model for NEET should be implemented. In this approach, the NEET exam papers would be transmitted digitally to the examination centres, while students would mark their answers on OMR sheets.
The expert committee has proposed conducting the NEET UG exam in multiple stages, similar to the JEE format. This approach would enable the authorities to manage candidates more effectively and address their needs more efficiently.
As there is no limit to the number of attempts in the NEET exam, candidates can appear for the medical entrance test as many times as they want. The committee has also proposed to restrict the number of attempts in the NEET 2025 exam.
The panel advises the NTA to recruit full time personnel rather than relying on temporary staff. Additionally, it recommends avoiding the use of private centres for conducting the NEET UG exam.

For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the fee remained significantly subsidized at Rs 1,000. NRI candidates were charged Rs 9,500.
Last year, the NTA introduced significant changes to the NEET UG syllabus in an effort to align the exam more closely with the evolving needs of the medical and dental fields. The changes involved both the deletion of certain topics and the addition of new ones across Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. These modifications were made to ensure that the syllabus reflects the most relevant and current knowledge required for medical and dental studies. Check the NEET reduced syllabus here.
