FMGE registration 2025 December: Eligibility criteria
Before registering for the FMGE 2025 exam, candidates must check their eligibility. The FMGE eligibility criteria can be checked below.
Eligibility criteria for FMGE Dec 2025 registration
A candidate must be a Citizen of India or an Overseas Citizen of India.
The candidate must possess a primary medical qualification recognized by the respective Indian Embassy for registration as a medical practitioner in the awarding country.
The final examination result for this qualification must have been declared on or before October 31, 2025.
Candidates must submit valid proof showing their final exam result was declared on or before the specified date and that they successfully completed all required courses with eligible results.
Candidates with an undergraduate and postgraduate medical qualification from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, or the USA and recognized for medical practice there, are exempt from the Screening Test in India.

FMGE registration 2025 December: Step-by-step process
Visit the official website: nbe.edu.in.
Click on the ‘FMGE’ tab.
Click on the ‘Application link’ under December 2025 and then click on ‘Register’.
Enter your name, gender, date of birth, nationality, email ID and mobile number.
Review the entered details and click on ‘Submit’.
The application ID and password generated are sent to the registered email and mobile number.
In the next step, candidates are required to complete the FMGE application form by logging to their account.
Enter personal, academic and other asked details carefully and choose the preferred FMGE exam centre.
Candidates have to upload scanned copies of the documents and pay the registration fee.

What if FMGE registration 2025 credentials are lost?
If a candidate loses their FMGE 2025 registration credentials, such as the user ID or password, they can easily retrieve them through the official website of NBE. Candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps to retrieve their FMGE registration credentials.
Go to the official website: nbe.edu.in and click on the ‘Already registered’ link on the homepage.
Then click on the ‘Forgot user ID/ password’ tab.
Enter the registered email ID, mobile number and other asked details.
A reset link is sent to the registered email.
Through the reset link, candidates can retrieve their FMGE login credentials.
What after FMGE December 2025 registration?
After the registration window is closed, the NBE opens the correction window for registered candidates to edit any errors in the FMGE 2025 December application form or uploaded documents. Candidates must note that not all details can be corrected through FMGE edit window. After the correction process, the FMGE admit cards are issued to eligible candidates.
The exam is then conducted on the FMGE 2025 December exam date in computer-based mode at designated centres across India. Candidates who will qualify the exam will be required to complete the further process and apply for the provisional registration certificate to legally practice medicine in India.
