A candidate with a NEET PG rank of 1,05,292 in the open category should know that admission to MD Paediatrics in deemed universities would be possible with an annual budget of around Rs 40 to Rs 45 lakh. NEET PG 2026: What Can You Get With Rank 47,000 in Uttar Pradesh?
Eligibility for Uttar Pradesh government state quota seats depends on the state's counselling eligibility rules, including MBBS qualification requirements. Candidates should therefore check the official UP NEET PG admission eligibility criteria before registration. At a rank of around 47,000, government MD/MS clinical seat options may be limited through UP NEET PG state counselling. However, previous-year trends indicate that candidates may still have possibilities in later rounds. For example, admission at Government Medical College, Ayodhya was reported to have closed at around rank 57,468 in Round 3 through state counselling in the previous year. Candidates around AIR 47,000 may also explore MCC NEET PG counselling, as the All India counselling process provides access to participating colleges across the country.
Candidates with a NEET PG rank between 40,000 and 50,000 should consider participating in both eligible state counselling and MCC NEET PG 2026 counselling instead of depending entirely on one route. MCC counselling can provide candidates with a wider pool of colleges across India, while state counselling may offer additional opportunities depending on state eligibility, reservation rules and previous-year cutoffs. For candidates around AIR 47,000, better possibilities could emerge by Round 3. Therefore, candidates should carefully plan their choice filling across rounds and track the NEET PG 2026 seat matrix, college-wise cutoff and round-wise vacant seats.
One of the major concerns among candidates participating in multiple state counselling processes is the NEET PG counselling security deposit refund. Candidates often register for MCC counselling along with three or four state counselling processes. If a candidate does not receive a seat, the security deposit is generally refunded after completion of the counselling process, subject to the rules of the respective counselling authority. However, candidates must carefully follow the counselling guidelines.
The security deposit may be forfeited in certain situations if a candidate fails to comply with the rules, such as joining, resignation, reporting or exit requirements applicable to a particular counselling round. Since NEET PG counselling rules can differ from one state to another, candidates should read the official information bulletin before registering or exiting a counselling round.
Also Check:
If the candidate chooses the available upgradation or float option and participates in the subsequent round, the fee treatment would depend on the final MCC NEET PG 2026 counselling rules. Candidates should therefore not assume that the rules followed in previous counselling sessions will automatically apply to NEET PG 2026. The final process for Round 1 joining, Round 2 upgradation, Round 3 participation, fee payment and security deposit should be checked once MCC releases the official NEET PG 2026 counselling scheme.
With the NEET PG 2026 result and rank available, candidates should now focus on creating a realistic counselling strategy. Previous-year closing ranks can help identify possible colleges, but they do not guarantee admission in NEET PG 2026. Candidates should compare their NEET PG rank, category, preferred branch, budget, state eligibility and previous-year closing ranks before filling choices. Those considering deemed universities should also compare tuition fees and other charges carefully, as the overall cost can differ significantly between colleges.
