    NEET PG and INI CET are national level entrance examinations conducted for admission into postgraduate medical courses. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) is administered by the National Board of Examination (NBE) and is conducted for admission to Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS) and PG Diploma in various government, private, deemed/central universities. Whereas, the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET) is conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi. INI CET is held twice a year for admission in PG courses such as Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) in 8 AIIMS institutes, JIPMER Puducherry, PGIMER Chandigarh, and NIMHANS Bengaluru.

    Difference Between NEET PG and INI CET

    NEET PG is an annual examination conducted in computer based mode. It is held for admission to postgraduate courses such as Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS) and PG Diploma in various universities/institutes across the country. While, INI CET is held twice a year in online mode for January and July sessions. The INI CET scores is accepted by 11 institutes, including 8 AIIMS institutions, PGIMER, Chandigarh, NIMHANS Bengaluru, and JIPMER, Puducherry

    NEET PG vs INI CET - Application process

    NEET PG application form is released by NBE at nbe.edu.in. Eligible candidates have to register for NEET PG by providing personal details, mobile number and email ID. Once the registration is done, Candidates can then log in using their registration ID and password to fill the application form. After selecting the exam city, candidates have to upload scanned copies of passport size photograph, signature and left-thumb impression and pay the fee to complete the process.

    For INI CET, the application process involves basic and final registration followed by Registration Unique Code (RUC) generation. The Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) system allows candidates to select more than one course at a time. Candidates have to register at aiimsexams.ac.in. Candidates whose basic registration is accepted need to upload their passport-size photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression. During the final registration, candidates have to fill the application form, fee payment, exam centre and other details.
