The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the NEET photo and signature guidelines at neet.nta.nic.in. The authority specifies the NEET photo size 2026 format, dimensions, specifications and upload document guidelines in the information bulletin. Candidates who are appearing for the NEET entrance exam must be aware of these photo requirements during the NEET application form.

NEET 2026 Photo and Signature Guidelines

The NEET exam photograph, left & right fingers and thumb impression and signature need to be uploaded as per the specifications provided by the NTA. To successfully fill the NEET exam form 2026, candidates need to upload a scanned photograph taken after January 1, 2026. Unless the required NEET photo sizes and formats are met, the documents will not be uploaded. NEET photo 2026 guidelines

The NTA has set certain guidelines for NEET photo size 2026. Candidates must upload the scanned photograph with the specified requirements.

  • The scanned photograph must be taken after January 1, 2026.

  • The photograph must have white background, with 80% face visibility.

  • The file size should be between 10 KB to 200 KB

  • Polaroid and Computer-generated photos are not acceptable

  • NEET forms without photograph will not be accepted

  • Passport size photograph: Candidates need to have 6 to 8 colour photographs
    Postcard size photograph: Candidates need to have 4 to 6 colour photographs.

  • The photo format should be JPG.

  • In case someone else’s photograph has been uploaded by the candidate. The case will be considered as an unfair means and a criminal action will be taken as per the law.

NEET signature 2026 guidelines

Candidates must follow the guidelines as set by the NTA while uploading the NEET documents including NEET 2026 application form signature.

  • The scanned signature should be between 4 KB to 30 KB.

  • Candidates should put their full signature in running letters

  • The NEET application forms without signature will not be accepted

  • The signature should be made on black ballpoint pen on white paper.

  • The file format should be JPG only.

  • In case someone else’s signature has been uploaded, a criminal action will be taken against the candidate.
