AP MBBS Admission 2018 - Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada is the counselling conducting body of AP MBBS 2018 admission. The result for the round one of counselling for management quota seats and convenor quota seats has been published on July 6 and July 3, 2018. The first round of AP MBBS BDS counselling for Convenor Quota seats started on June 27, 2018 from 9.00 AM onwards. The counselling was conducted till July 2, 2018 up to 11.00 AM. The application form of AP MBBS 2018 for Management Quota seats was released on June 24 and candidates were allowed to fill the application form by June 30. The AP MBBS 2018 application form for Convenor Quota seats was released on June 20, 2018 and the last date to submit was June 24, 2018. A provisional merit list of candidates eligible for Convenor Quota admissions was subsequently published on June 25, 2018. Earlier, the authorities released the list of candidates who have completed Class 12 from Andhra Pradesh state and have qualified NEET UG.

AP MBBS merit list 2018 comprises a provisional merit list for both categories of seats, Convenor Quota and Management Quota, which are separately published after the application process for AP MBBS admission 2018 is concluded. This initial merit list is the provisional and it was only after the document verification session that the final AP MBBS merit list 2018 for convenor quota seats was published. AP MBBS counselling 2018 is conducted only for those candidates who are included in the AP MBBS merit list 2018 under the quota they have applied for. The counselling will be conducted in online mode.

AP MBBS BDS Counselling Result 2018 

The result of the round one of counselling for round one has been released which reflects the colleges allotted to the candidates who participated in the counselling process for convenor quota and management quota seats. The result has been released in online mode. NTRUHS will publish the result of the subsequent round as and when they are conducted. The result will also reflect the last rank and score considered by the authorities for admission and the category under which the candidate has obtained a seat. The result has been published in the form of seat allotment list in online mode.

AP MBBS BDS Counselling 2018

The counselling for management quota seats was conducted on July 4 and July 5, 2018 in offline mode. Candidates were required to report at the allotted centre with relevant documents. Andhra Pradesh MBBS Counselling 2018 for convenor quota seats was started on June 27, 2018, from 9.00 AM onwards. The round one of counselling was conducted till July 2, 2018 up to 11.00 AM. AP MBBS 2018 counselling was conducted on the official web portal where the candidates have filled the AP MBBS application form 2018 with the same login ID and password. This implies that the counselling of AP MBBS 2018 will be conducted in online mode. There will be three rounds of AP MBBS counselling 2018 which will also include a mop-up round. Aspirants have to follow the same procedure of submitting their choices online before the respective round of seat allotment starts.

 

AP MBBS BDS Merit List 2018

AP MBBS 2018 eligible list of candidates who have qualified NEET 2018 and have completed Class 12 from Andhra Pradesh state was released on June 14, 2018. AP MBBS 2018 provisional merit list for Convenor Quota seats has been published on June 25 while the final merit list was published on July 2, 2018. The provisional merit list for Andhra Pradesh Management Quota seats was published on July 1, 2018. Andhra Pradesh Merit List 2018 was published online and there was no intimation sent to the candidates individually. The final merit lists of AP MBBS 2018 was published after the document verification session which implies that only the candidates who have filled the AP MBBS application form 2018 were considered. However, the final AP MBBS merit 2018 list for Convenor Quota seats was released after the candidates have successfully verified their documents from June 26 to July 1, 2018, while for Management Quota seats, it will be held from July 4 to July 5. The merit position is determined on the basis of NEET UG 2018 score.

 

 

AP MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2018

For Convenor Quota seats -

  • It is mandatory to be an Indian National or Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holder for AP MBBS admission 2018.

  • The candidate should have passed Class 12 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English to be eligible for AP MBBS 2018 admission.

  • The candidate belonging to Unreserved category must obtain at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology.

  • The candidate belonging to BC/SC/ST category must obtain at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology.

  • The candidate belonging to Person with disability (OC) category must obtain at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology.

  • According to the age eligibility criteria, the candidate must be born on or between May 7, 1993 to January 1, 2002.

  • To be a domicile of Andhra Pradesh state, the candidate must prove his/her local/non-local status. According to the rules laid down by the authorities, a candidate will attain local/non-local status if he/she qualifies one of the below mentioned criteria-

  1. Local candidate as defined in the Presidential order.

  2. The candidate or either of the candidate’s parents’ resided in the state for a total of ten years excluding the period where the candidate has studied outside the state or the parents have stayed outside the state.

  3. The candidates whose either of the parent is in the employment of the State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporation Local Bodies, Universities and other similar Public Institution within the state of Andhra Pradesh.

  4. The candidate whose spouse is in the employment of the State or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies Universities and educational institutions recognized by the Government or a University or Other competent authority of the state to be eligible for AP MBBS admission 2018.

  • The 85% State quota seats are further divided into 85% belonging to local candidates and remaining 15% are unreserved seats which means both local and non-local candidates can take admission. The criteria to be eligible for 85% seats reserved for local candidates are given below wherein one of the criteria needs to be fulfilled-

  1. The candidate who has studied in an institution or institutions located in a local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years. The last academic year in the particular institution should be the year of appearing in NEET 2018.

  2. The candidate who has resided in the local area for four consecutive years and has completed the fourth year in the year of appearing for NEET.

  3. If the candidate has studied for seven consecutive years in two or more different local areas ending in the present year then the local year from where candidate has the maximum number of years of education will be considered.

  4. If the candidate has studied in two or more local years for seven consecutive years and has studied for equal number of year in two or more local areas then the one in which he/she has last studied will be considered.

  5. If the candidate has not studied in an institution located in any of the local areas but has resided in the part of State which is regarded as a local area in the last seven years up to the year of taking NEET then

    The area in which the candidate has stayed the maximum will be considered out of the last seven years will be considered.

    or

    In case the candidate has stayed for the equal number of years in two or more local areas, the one where he/she has stayed in the last year out of the said period of seven years will be considered.

  • In order to become eligible for state-wide colleges, candidates are also required to show local and non-local status. The 85% seats available for local candidates will be divided in the ratio 42:36:22 for candidates belonging to Andhra University, Osmania University and Sri Venkateshwara University areas respectively.

AP MBBS BDS Admission Form 2018

Andhra Pradesh MBBS 2018 application forms for Convenor Quota seats was released on June 20, 2018, in online mode. The convenor quota AP MBBS application form 2018 was available for candidates till June 24, 2018. The application form for AP NEET Management Quota seats was released on June 24 and the last to till the form was June 30, 2018. The candidates must fill their academic details like Class 10 marks, Class 12 marks, NEET 2018 score and NEET Roll no while filling either of the AP MBBS 2018 application forms. The details submitted by the candidates should be correct because these details will be testified at the time of document verification session of AP MBBS 2018. The application form of AP MBBS 2018 will be considered successfully submitted once the registration and verification fee is paid by the aspirants. AP MBBS 2018 application fee is INR 3,000/- for candidates belonging to Unreserved and BC categories while for SC/ST category candidates it is INR 2,000/- (applicable for both Convenor quota and Management quota applications).

 

AP MBBS BDS Document Verification 2018

The academic, domicile and reservation details entered by the candidates while filling the AP MBBS 2018 application form were verified during the submission of original documents. The printout copies of the of the application form of AP MBBS 2018 must be submitted along with all the mandatory documents. The passport size photo should be pasted on the AP MBBS application form 2018 which should be same as the one attached to NEET application form 2018. The required documents to be verified are mentioned below -

  • NEET 2018 admit card

  • NEET 2018 score card

  • Class 10 or equivalent examination certificate as a proof of date of birth

  • Class 12 or equivalent examination mark sheet

  • Transfer Certificate from the Institute last attended

  • Pass certificate from Class 6 to Class 12

  • Permanent caste certificate, if necessary

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Minority certificate, if applicable

  • 10 year of resident certificate for those who have studied outside the state of Andhra Pradesh

  • Income certificate applicable to those claiming fee exemption.

  • Undertaking (download below) by the parents and candidates stating that the caste and area certificates submitted are original and if found conflicting then they will be responsible for the consequences.

  • Local status certificate

  • Candidates claiming reservation under any special category shall submit the respective documents in support of their claim.
