The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has set the NEET MDS 2026 total marks to 960. The total marks of NEET MDS 2026 are distributed among subjects divided in Part A and Part B sections. The Part A subjects carry a total of 400 marks and Part B consists of 560 marks. Along with the total marks, candidates need to obtain the passing marks of NEET MDS to qualify the exam.

The total marks in NEET MDS are 960. The exam consists of 240 multiple choice questions and students are required to solve the test in 3 hours. According to the NEET MDS exam pattern, each question carries a total of 4 marks. In NEET MDS 2026 exam, the total marks are distributed across 17 subjects with individual subjects carrying 56 marks each excluding General Medicine and General Surgery which have 60 marks each.

The NEET MDS exam consists of 17 subjects. The question paper is divided into two separate parts: Part A and Part B based on the BDS curriculum. A total of 240 questions including 100 and 140 questions are asked for a time duration of 3 hours and each correct answer has a weightage of 4 marks and one mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. Candidates who appear in the exam must ensure to obtain the pass marks to qualify the test. Candidates belonging from general category need to secure 50th percentile to pass the exam. While SC/ST/OBC and general-PH aspirants, the NEET MDS qualifying marks are 40th and 45th percentile.
