Candidates wishing to apply for NEET MDS 2026 must fulfil the eligibility criteria guidelines as specified by NBEMS. The eligibility criteria of NEET MDS entrance exam can be checked here.
A candidate must be an Indian citizen, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs).
Candidates should have a BDS degree from a recognised institute.
Provisional/permanent registration with State Dental Council (SDC) or DCI.
A mandatory one-year compulsory rotatory internship on or before May 31, 2026.
The NEET MDS application form is released online on its official website. Candidates are required to fill the NEET MDS 2026 application form on or before the deadline ends. The basic steps to apply for NEET MDS 2026 are as follows.
NEET MDS 2026 Registration: Firstly, eligible candidates are required to visit the official website and complete the NEET MDS registration 2026. During the process, candidates need to fill in the basic information like name, date of birth, gender, email ID, mobile number and other details. Once the details are submitted, the user ID and password will be sent on the registered email ID and mobile number.
Filling out the Application Form: After registrations, the next step is to fill the NEET MDS 2026 exam form. While filling out the application form, candidates have to enter personal details, educational qualification, internship details and more.
Uploading of Relevant Documents: Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of passport-size photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression as per the specifications provided by NBE.
NEET MDS Test City Selection: Candidates need to choose their preferred exam city where the NEET exam will be conducted. Graduates must select the NEET MDS exam centre based on their convenience and preference. The final selection of the exam city can be done after the successful payment of application fee.
Paying of NEET MDS 2026 Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay the NEET MDS application fee payment using the online methods such as credit/debit cards or net banking. The fee payment of NEET MDS 2026 application form for general, OBC and EWS candidates is Rs 3500. For SC, ST & PwD, the application fee is Rs 2500.
Printout of the NEET MDS Application Form 2026: Once the application form of NEET MDS 2026 is submitted successfully, candidates can take multiple printouts of the confirmation page for future reference.
The NBE provides the NEET MDS edit window for the successfully registered students after the exam form deadline ends. Through the NEET MDS correction window, candidates can make important corrections in the application form for a specific period of time. Candidates are advised to keep checking the NBE official website for latest notifications.
The NBE releases the NEET MDS 2026 admit card to the registered candidates only. To download the NEET MDS admit card, candidates have to enter their candidate ID and password. Aspirants must carry the Admit card of NEET MDS to the examination centre as no student will be allowed to enter the exam hall without it.
The NBE has announced the NEET MDS exam date 2026. The NEET MDS 2026 exam is scheduled for May 2, 2026. The NEET MDS 2026 will be conducted in online mode for a time duration of 3 hours. A total of 240 multiple choice questions are asked in the NEET MDS exam. The total marks in NEET MDS is 960.

The authority releases the NEET MDS result online in the PDF form. The NEET MDS 2026 result mentions the roll number, All India rank and marks obtained out of 960. The qualified candidates will be called for the counselling process conducted by MCC and state counselling authorities. The NEET MDS score card 2026 is issued to the candidates who appear for the NEET MDS entrance test.
The MCC conducts the NEET MDS counselling for 50% AIQ seats. Only qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. Candidates have to register to appear for the NEET MDS 2026 counselling. Based on choices filled by the candidate, merit list, reservation criteria and seat availability, the seat allotment of NEET MDS 2026 is declared. Allotted candidates have to download the allotment letter and report to their respective colleges on or before the last date.

In NEET MDS, the All India 50% category rank is your rank among candidates of the same category (like OBC, SC, ST) only for AIQ 50% seats. It helps in category-wise seat allotment during counseling. The lower the rank, the better your chances in your category.
With 211 marks in NEET MDS 2025, getting Endodontics in government colleges is very unlikely due to high cutoffs. However, you may have a chance in some private colleges or deemed universities where the competition is lower. Keep an eye on counselling rounds and management quota seats.
With an AIQ rank of 1188 in NEET MDS 2025, getting a government seat is unlikely, especially if you are in the General category. Usually, government seats go to candidates with ranks below 1000. However, you can try private or deemed universities where seats may be available for your rank.
