The NEET UG OMR sheet 2026 sample is the printable replica of the official OMR sheet used in the entrance test. The NEET OMR sample features 180 multiple choice questions with same spaces provided for candidates to fill the responses like the actual exam. It contains sections for roll number, test booklet code, centre code, declaration, spaces for signature and other details. In the NEET OMR sheet, candidates have to mark the responses to the 180 MCQs using a black or blue ballpoint pen. Hence, it is crucial to fill in the details and answers carefully without making any mistakes. Because any slight damage can decrease the chances of scoring good marks in the test. Hence, before appraising for the entrance exam, candidates must practice with the sample OMR sheet to improve speed, accuracy in filling the exam sheet. Below, we have provided some tips to fill the NEET OMR sheet 2026 correctly.
Fill personal details: After receiving the NEET OMR sheet, candidates must write the name and mark the circles of roll number, test book code, centre code accordingly without any mistake. The details must be filled carefully as these details are also displayed in the NEET admit card.
Use ballpoint pen: Candidates are required to mark theOMR sheet circles with the black or blue ballpoint pen. Gel, ink and pencils are strictly prohibited by NTA as they lead to disqualification.
Fill the circles completely: Candidates must practise filling the NEET OMR sheet circles fully ensuring that there should be no gaps, stray marks and use of ticks in the sheet.
No rough work on the OMR sheet: The NTA has directed candidates to not use any rough work on the OMR sheet as machines may not properly respond which lead to evaluation errors.
Check the answers carefully: Once the circles are filled, candidates must double-check the responses to ensure all answers are filled correctly.
Candidates appearing for the exam must avoid some of the common things while filling out the NEET OMR sample sheet 2026. With this, the chances to make mistakes in the NEET exam would remain low and allow candidates to get full marks for the correct answer.
Candidates must avoid using gel, pencil or ink pens in the NEET 2026. Only ballpoint pens should be used to mark the answers in the OMR sheet.
Do not mark more than one option for a single question. As per the NEET exam pattern, multiple responses are invalid thus leading to disqualification of that particular answer.
Do not leave any extra mark, stain or tick the response as over shading may lead to the scanner to misread and thus lead to invalid response.
Before marking the final option, candidates must ensure that they are filling the correct circle in the response sheet.
Aspirants must keep the OMR sheet clean and flat as any damage may prevent the scanner from reading the answer filled by the candidate.
