The National Medical Commission (NMC) approved the openings of 33 new MBBS colleges in India in 2025. Of these 33 newly established MBBS colleges, 18 are government and 15 are private. Together, these colleges have been allotted a total of 2800 MBBS seats, which include 1200 government seats and 1600 private seats.
The NMC, as the regulatory body for MBBS education in India, is responsible for approving new medical colleges in India. For the 2025-26 session, the NMC has added 5950 new MBBS seats in total. Out of these, 2800 seats are from the newly opened colleges, while the remaining 3150 seats have been added to existing colleges. firstly, for NEET the main requirements are ur own details.. ur name, ur dob, photo, signature and identity proof.. if ur mother's name is slightly different on ur 10th marksheet and her aadhar card, it usually doesnt create any issue during NEET admission or registration as well.. however if there is a major difference then u should consider getting the aadhar updated to avoid confusion during counselling or document verification
