The Re NEET 2026 Chemistry section was considered moderately difficult by both students and experts. Compared to previous years, the paper was slightly tougher and focused more on understanding concepts rather than memorising facts. Although the questions were based on the NCERT syllabus, many of them required students to apply their knowledge and think logically.
The question paper had a balanced distribution of topics from both Class 11 and Class 12. Some chapters had higher weightage, such as Coordination Compounds, Basic Principles of Organic Chemistry (GOC), Hydrocarbons, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, and Solutions.
Another important change in Re NEET 2026 was the variety of question types. There were more Assertion-Reason and statement-based questions, which tested logical thinking. 'Match the column' questions were also common and often combined multiple topics. Additionally, multi-statement questions made the paper more time-consuming, as students had to carefully evaluate each statement before answering.
