NEET counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on behalf of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSc & AH courses and other allied programs in government, private and deemed universities. The counselling process of NEET UG is overseen by different authorities depending on the type of institution: MCC handles the counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, while state authorities manage the counselling for state quota seats.
All India Quota (AIQ) counselling: AIQ counselling is conducted by the MCC and includes 15% of seats in all government medical colleges and dental colleges, AIIMS, JIPMER, central universities and ESIC colleges.
State Quota Counselling: State quota counselling is managed by respective state counselling authorities for 85% of government college seats and 100% of private college seats within the state.
