The Assam NEET merit list mentions the names of candidates in order of their merit who are eligible for admission to top MBBS colleges and BDS colleges in Assam.

    The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has staged a protest outside the National Testing Agency (NTA) office in Delhi over the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination following allegations of paper leak and irregularities, PTI reported.  

    Raising slogans against the NTA, the protestors demanded strict action against those responsible for the alleged irregularities and called for greater transparency in the conduct of competitive examinations, PTI added.

    Tie-breaking Criteria for Assam merit list NEET UG 2026

    The authorities will use the inter-se merit mechanism as mentioned below to resolve ties where two or more candidates obtained equal marks in NEET 2026.

    • Candidates with higher Biology scores will have a greater chance of making the NEET selection list 2026 Assam.

    • The candidate with the better Chemistry score will receive a higher Assam NEET state merit rank whenever a tie remains.

    • If the situation still exists, the age of the candidate will be taken into account, and older candidates will be given preference
