Assam MBBS Admission 2026 Important Dates

The table below provides all the important dates related to Assam NEET 2026 so that candidates do not miss any important events.

• The candidate must pass the NEET 2026 exam.

• The applicant must be a citizen of India.

• As of December 31, 2026, the candidate must be at least 17 years old.

• Each candidate must have passed English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the 12th grade.

• Students must have attended Assam state schools from class VII to XII.

• Every candidate should be in good health.

• For the unreserved category, the candidate must obtain 60 per cent in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and 50 per cent in the reserved category.

• The candidate or the candidate’s parents must be permanent residents of Assam state for at least 20 years.

Assam MBBS 2026 Merit List

Depending on the NEET marks obtained by candidates, DME releases the state merit list for MBBS/BDS Assam 2026. The list contains the names, NEET scores, percentile, NEET rank, and state merit rank of all qualified candidates from the medical entrance exam and those who are permanent residents of the state. Eligible candidates are notified about the counselling based on their merit rank. Candidates are required to complete the Assam MBBS application form 2026 before beginning the counselling process.

Assam MBBS 2026 Counselling

• DME releases the application form for Assam MBBS 2026 on their official website.

• The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, scrutinises all application forms once the Assam MBBS 2026 registration process is completed.

• The Directorate produces a list of all candidates who meet the requirements. After that, they are called for the process of counselling for granting admission to MBBS/BDS courses in Assam.

• The final merit list is published on the official website of DME.
