The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Raipur, has announced the new schedule for round 1 and round 2 joint Chhattisgarh NEET PG counselling at cgdme.i. Candidates can register for both round 1 and round 2 of Chhattisgarh NEET PG counselling from January 23 to 25, 2026. Earlier, the authority had cancelled all the rounds of Chhattisgarh NEET PG counselling 2025 due to the amendments made by the Chhattisgarh High Court in the admission rules.

The authority also stated that a new Chhattisgarh NEET PG counselling process based on the revised rules and a new 200-point reservation roster will be scheduled. The counselling rounds are conducted for the students who qualify NEET PG exam and register for admission to the medical colleges of Chhattisgarh. According to the officials, Chhattisgarh NEET PG 2025 counselling will stand cancelled till further notice. The Chhattisgarh High Court made amendments to the admission rules related to the medical postgraduate (M.D/M.S) course, admission year 2025. As a result of the amendment, the conducting authority will change the entire reservation roster/seat matrix. DME Raipur will release the information regarding the re-operation of the Chhattisgarh NEET PG counselling process based on the amended rules and the new 200-point reservation roster separately on the official website.

In the notice released on the cancellation of Chhattisgarh NEET PG counselling, the authority gave clarity on amendments in four points related to the Chhattisgarh NEET PG admission. Check the amendments to the Chhattisgarh NEET PG counselling process below.
After 50% of the seats in government medical colleges have been dedicated to the All India Quota, the remaining 50% of available state quota seats will be filled by registered candidates who have completed the MBBS course from medical colleges recognised by the National Medical Commission located in the State of Chhattisgarh or who are serving candidates from the State of Chhattisgarh.
For 50% of the total seats in private medical colleges, registered candidates who have completed the MBBS course from medical colleges recognised by the National Medical Commission located in the State of Chhattisgarh or who are serving candidates from the State of Chhattisgarh will be eligible for admission. The remaining 50% of available seats will be allocated as open seats on the basis of merit. For this purpose, candidates who have not completed the MBBS course from medical colleges recognised by the National Medical Commission located in the State of Chhattisgarh (non-institutional candidates) will be eligible.
The 50% of open seats in private medical colleges will also be covered under State Reservation Rule 6.
If eligible candidates are not available for the seats in Government Medical College and the seats remain vacant, then at the time of the Chhattisgarh NEET PG allotment process of the third stage of counselling, those vacant seats can be converted and allotted to non-institutional candidates.

Yes, you are eligible. After completing Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Pathology, you can appear again for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate if you have a valid MBBS degree and registration with the National Medical Commission. However, government rules about funding or seat eligibility may vary.
