As many as 2,30,114 appeared for the NEET PG 2025 exam. Through NEET PG scores, admissions are granted to courses such as Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), and various diploma programs in government or private medical colleges across the country. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) oversees the counselling and seat allotment process.

As per the statistics released by the authority, 1,11,871 lakh candidates qualified for the NEET PG 2023. Candidates from the General category who qualified in NEET 2023 scored up to 50 percentile whereas those qualifying from the SC and ST categories had to score 40 percentile as a minimum aggregate respectively.
