NTA has released the admit card for NEET UG 2026 on its official website, neet.nta.nic.in. While downloading the admit card, one of the most important required credentials is the NEET 2026 password. Candidates need to enter their application number and password to download the NEET admit card 2026. However, many students have forgotten their password and are facing issues downloading the NEET 2026 admit card. To resolve this, NTA provides several options to reset the NEET password. If you have forgotten the NEET 2026 password, you can reset it using any of the three available methods explained below.
Candidates can reset their password for NEET 2026 using the security question and its answer they have chosen during the form filling process. The step-wise process to reset NEET password 2026 are as following -
Visit the official website: neet.nta.nic.in
Under the “Candidate Activity” section, click on the link provided for NEET admit card 2026. The login window for NEET 2026 admit card will open
Click on “Forgot password?”.
Click on the “Login” button. The NEET 2026 candidate login window will open
Again click on “Forgot Password” link
Select “Using Security Question & its Answer you choose during Form filling” and continue
Enter the NEET 2026 application number, select the security question, enter the answer of security question and captcha code
Click on the “Submit” button. Your NEET 2026 password will be displayed.
Another way to reset the password for NEET UG 2026 is by using a verification code sent to the registered mobile number and email ID. The NTA NEET password reset steps using the verification code are as following -
Visit neet.nta.nic.in
Click on the Candidate activity and then the admit card download link
Click on “Forgot password?”
Click on the “Login” button. The NEET 2026 candidate login window will open. Again click on “Forgot Password” link
Select “Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to your Registered Mobile No & Email Id”
Enter the NEET 2026 application number, date of birth, and captcha
Click Submit. A verification code will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID
Enter the verification code received
Your NEET 2026 password will be sent to your registered email and mobile number
If none of the above methods work, NTA provides an option to reset NEET password. Here’s how you can reset the NEET UG 2026 password using a reset link.
Go to neet.nta.nic.in
Click on the admit card download link and click on “Forgot password?”
Click on the “Login” button. The NEET 2026 candidate login window will open. Again click on “Forgot Password” link
Select “Using a reset link sent via Email to your registered email address”
Enter application number, date of birth, and captcha and click on submit button
A NEET UG password reset link will be sent to the registered email ID
Create a new password using the reset link and use it
The password for NEET admit card 2026 is the same one created during NEET 2026 registration. To download the admit card, candidates must log in using their NEET 2026 application number and password.
In case, if candidates forgot their NEET password, it can be reset using any of the three methods listed below provided by the NTA. All these options are available through the “Forgot Password?” link on the official website.

Along with the password, the NEET 2026 application number is an equally important credential to download the admit card. However, in some cases candidates might forget their NEET 2026 application number. While the application number of NEET 2026 cannot be reset, it can be recovered by the following method -
Go to the official website neet.nta.nic.in
Go to the “Candidate Login” window of NEET UG 2026
Click on the “Forgot Application Number” link. A new window to find application number will appear
Enter the details asked such as candidate name, father name, mother name, date of birth, and captcha code
Click on the “Get Application Number” button
The NEET 2026 application number will be displayed

Yes, NEET is not mandatory for admission to Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) for the academic year 2026-27. However, from 2027-28 session, NEET UG will be compulsory for admission to BPT course.
