The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) along with the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, conducts the AFMC NEET 2024 counselling registrations. As per the latest update, the authority has released the AFMC MBBS third reserve list 2024. Candidates who have been allotted seats in the reserve list need to report at AFMC, Pune till September 23.

The authorities releases AFMC NEET 2024 merit list mentioning the names of the candidates eligible for the counselling. Aspirants who are included in the merit list are required to report at the AFMC, Pune institute. The authorities releases the AFMC MBBS 2024 cutoff along with the merit list.

AFMC NEET 2024 counselling is conducted for the admission to 150 MBBS seats (including 5 govt sponsored) in the institute. The shortlisted candidates will be called for Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR), Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview and Medical Examination at AFMC, Pune. AFMC NEET UG 2024 counselling- Highlights

Below are some points regarding AFMC NEET counselling 2024 that candidates should not miss at all. Candidates are advised to read the points carefully.

  • AFMC, Pune conducts counselling in offline mode.

  • Candidates with their name on AFMC MBBS merit list 2024 are called for the counselling rounds.

  • Candidates must secure the minimum cutoff set by the authorities to be eligible for AFMC MBBS counselling 2024.

  • AFMC counselling process includes document verification, ToELR test, PAT, medical examination and interview.

  • Score obtained in NEET UG added to ToELR Score (80 marks) divided by 4 to get a score out of 200. To this, the scores obtained in the interview (50 marks) are added to make a final merit list. The obtained final scores are considered for AFMC MBBS admission 2024

How to get AFMC admission after Class 12?

In order to secure an AFMC MBBS seat after class 12th, one has to go through the below-mentioned process.

Appear for NEET UG:

  • NEET UG is the common entrance exam for medical courses in India.

  • Register and appear for the NEET UG exam.

  • Ensure that score obtained in NEET UG is significant for AFMC admission.

Register for AFMC:

  • NEET UG qualified candidates need to visit the official AFMC & MCC website to check for notifications regarding AFMC admissions.

  • If interested in AFMC, candidates need to choose AFMC as one of their preferences during NEET UG counselling at mcc.nic.in.

Medical Examination and Interview:

  • Shortlisted candidates based on NEET UG scores are invited for a medical examination and interview at AFMC.

  • The medical examination assesses both physical fitness and medical standards set by the Armed Forces.

  • The interview evaluates suitability for a career in the Armed Forces as a medical officer.

Final Selection:

  • The final selection is based on a combination of NEET UG scores, performance in the medical examination, and interview.

What is ToELR in AFMC MBBS admission process?

ToELR is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted by AFMC authorities for admission to MBBS courses in the campus. This online test is of 30 minutes where a total of 40 multiple choice questions are asked. For every correct answer 2 marks are given whereas for every wrong answer 0.5 marks are deducted.

To be eligible for the counselling of AFMC MBBS and secure a seat, candidates must qualify the minimum percentile set by the authorities. Candidates must check the marking scheme given in the table below:

AFMC 2024 counselling process

Below points explain the whole process of AFMC MBBS counselling 2024. Candidates can refer to it for better understanding.

  • As mentioned above, counselling is conducted in offline mode. Candidates need to report the venue on the given time.

  • Reporting candidates need to appear in the below-mentioned rounds:

1. Document verification (8:00 AM)

2. Blood/Urine investigation

3. ToELR Test

4. PAT

5. Interview with the Board of Officers (2:00 PM)

6. Medical examination (8:00 AM the next day)

Once the screening results are announced, candidates need to report to AFMC, Pune for admissions and after completing the admission formalities, they have to pay the AFMC MBBS fees for completing the admission process.

Shortlisted candidates must keep the below-listed documents ready as they need to be furnished at the time of AFMC MBBS counselling 2024.

  • Character certificate from the institution last attended

  • Secondary School Certificate or Birth Certificate

  • Demand draft of ₹250 in the name of ‘DGAFMS Admission Fund’, payable at New Delhi

  • Classes 10 and 12 marksheets

  • Aadhar card

  • Certificate from the principal of the last school stating that the candidate was a regular student

If your daughter is currently studying in a CBSE affiliated school in Qatar and has been living abroad for the past few years, she will likely qualify for an NRI seat when applying for NEET, as she meets the criteria of being an Indian citizen residing abroad and completing her 10th and 12th education from a foreign country.

NRI students can apply NEET UG under NRI category. Your daughter will be applying for seats under AIQ quota i.e 15% seats only .some states dont give reservation to NRI like Karnataka but some states like gujarat has NRI reservation.while considering colleges check specific eligibility criteria of the medical colleges you are applying to, as there may be minor variations in their NRI admission policies.
