Below are some points regarding AFMC NEET counselling 2026 that candidates should not miss at all. Candidates are advised to read the points carefully.
AFMC, Pune, conducts counselling in offline mode.
Candidates with their names on the AFMC MBBS merit list 2026 are called for the counselling rounds.
Candidates must secure the minimum cutoff set by the authorities to be eligible for AFMC MBBS counselling 2026.
The AFMC counselling process includes document verification, ToELR test, PAT, a medical examination and an interview.
The score obtained in NEET UG added to the ToELR score (80 marks) divided by 4 to get a score out of 200. To this, the scores obtained in the interview (50 marks) are added to make a final merit list. The obtained final scores are considered for AFMC MBBS admission 2026
In order to secure an AFMC MBBS seat after class 12th, one has to go through the below-mentioned process.
NEET UG is the common entrance exam for medical courses in India.
Register and appear for the NEET UG exam.
Ensure that the score obtained in NEET UG is significant for AFMC admission.
NEET UG qualified candidates need to visit the official AFMC & MCC website to check for notifications regarding AFMC admissions.
If interested in AFMC, candidates need to choose AFMC as one of their preferences during NEET UG counselling at mcc.nic.in.
Shortlisted candidates based on NEET UG scores are invited for a medical examination and interview at AFMC.
The medical examination assesses both physical fitness and medical standards set by the Armed Forces.
The interview evaluates suitability for a career in the Armed Forces as a medical officer.
The final selection is based on a combination of NEET UG scores, performance in the medical examination, and interview.
A merit list is prepared considering all these factors, and candidates are offered admission to AFMC based on their rank in the list.
ToELR is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted by AFMC authorities for admission to MBBS courses on the campus. This online test is 30 minutes where a total of 40 multiple-choice questions are asked. For every correct answer 2 marks are given, whereas for every wrong answer, 0.5 marks are deducted.
To be eligible for the counselling of AFMC MBBS and secure a seat, candidates must qualify the minimum percentile set by the authorities. Candidates must check the marking scheme given in the table below:

Reporting candidates need to appear in the following rounds:
1. Document verification (8:00 AM)
2. Blood/Urine investigation
3. ToELR Test

6. Medical examination (8:00 AM the next day)
Once the screening results are announced, candidates need to report to AFMC, Pune for admissions and after completing the admission formalities, they have to pay the AFMC MBBS fees to complete the admission process.
