As per the customary dress code for NEET 2026, candidates are allowed to wear traditional or religious clothing such as turban, hijab or burqa in NEET 2026 exam. To wear the customary outfits, candidates are required to arrive early at the NEET exam centre for security procedures. The NTA allowed a specific dress code for students who opted for customary dress during the NEET application form 2026. The customary dress code for NEET permits sikh candidates to carry traditional kangha, kara, and kirpan with them. While muslim girls are also allowed to wear hijab or burqa in the NEET exam 2026.
Female candidates are allowed to wear religious attire such as hijab or burqa in NEET 2026. Such candidates must indicate this preference while filling out the NEET 2026 application form. To complete the security checks successfully, candidates must arrive at the exam centre early at least an hour before the reporting time.
