    As per the customary dress code for NEET 2026, candidates are allowed to wear traditional or religious clothing such as turban, hijab or burqa in NEET 2026 exam. To wear the customary outfits, candidates are required to arrive early at the NEET exam centre for security procedures. The NTA allowed a specific dress code for students who opted for customary dress during the NEET application form 2026. The customary dress code for NEET permits sikh candidates to carry traditional kangha, kara, and kirpan with them. While muslim girls are also allowed to wear hijab or burqa in the NEET exam 2026.

    Procedure for Wearing Hijab in NEET 2026

    Female candidates are allowed to wear religious attire such as hijab or burqa in NEET 2026. Such candidates must indicate this preference while filling out the NEET 2026 application form. To complete the security checks successfully, candidates must arrive at the exam centre early at least an hour before the reporting time. It must be noted that female candidates must ensure that prohibited items such as electronic devices should not be carried inside the dress. If found, this will result in the disqualification of the candidate from NEET.

    NEET Dress Code for Female 2026

    The NTA has set the NEET 2026 dress code for female candidates to ensure transparency and fairness during the exam process. Female candidates must follow the NEET 2026 attire regulations to prevent delay or inconvenience at the exam centre.

    Clothes to wear in NEET 2026: Female candidates can wear simple and plain clothes. Such clothes must be light coloured without any patterns or designs. Female candidates can also prefer half-sleeved t-shirts, kutis, tops to appear in NEET 2026. long-sleeve d or fancy dresses must be avoided.

    Footwear guidelines: As per the NEET exam dress code for female 2026, slippers or sandals with thin soles can be worn in NEET 2026. Shoes, high heels and fancy footwear are not allowed

    Jewellery and accessories: Jewellery such as earrings, rings, pendants, chains, or bracelets should not be worn on the NEET exam day 2026. Accessories like watches, belts, caps and bands must also be avoided.

    • Female candidates wearing hijab or burqa must arrive at the NEET exam centre early at least an hour before the reporting time.

    • Female candidates must indicate the hijab preference while filling out the NEET application form 2026.

    • Such candidates will be subjected to mandatory frisking before entering the exam centre.

    • Candidates must follow the instructions issued by the NTA strictly.

    • Candidates will not be allowed to carry the banned items inside the examination centre under any circumstances.

    • Candidates must not keep any item to the NEET exam centre as there will be no arrangements made for keeping the items.
