The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG 2026 exam on May 3 for around 22.9 lakh candidates across India and abroad. The NEET 2026 exam will be held in pen-and-paper (offline) mode at 552 exam cities in India and 14 international test centres. After the exam concludes, NEET UG 2026 answer keys will be released by leading coaching institutes such as Allen, Aakash and Physics Wallah (PW).

As per the paper pattern, the total marks in NEET 2026 are 720. It must be noted that candidates must attempt a total of 180 questions in NEET 2026 within 3 hours.
The NTA is set to conduct NEET UG 2026 exam today from 2 pm. As per the NEET 2026 exam centre rules, the gates will be closed by 1:30 pm. Candidates must reach to the NEET 2026 centre as per the timings mentioned on the admit card.

The NTA NEET answer key is the official answer key released by the authorities on neet.nta.nic.in. It contains the correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam. The NEET 2026 official answer key is released in two phases: provisional and final. The provisional answer key is released a few days after the exam.
Candidates are given an opportunity to challenge the NEET 2026 provisional answer key by paying a fee of Rs 200 per question. The final NEET answer key 2026, on the other hand, is published along with or before the NEET result, and cannot be challenged further.

Yes, NEET is not mandatory for admission to Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) for the academic year 2026-27. However, from 2027-28 session, NEET UG will be compulsory for admission to BPT course.
