The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued an advisory and instructions to the candidates for reporting and joining of NBEMS seats that will be allotted through the MCC NEET PG counselling 2025. The NBEMS seats are the DNB seats available in the accredited hospitals. The advisory includes the reporting and joining process, payment of annual course fee, and others. The complete details can be checked in the article below.
The NEET PG Counselling 2025 round 2 seat allotment result is expected to be announced on December 12, 2025, on the official website.
The NBEMS released the advisory on November 11, 2025 regarding the reporting, joining, and fee payment process for the candidates who are participating in the NEET PG counselling 2025. This advisory aims to prevent any delays in reporting and joining status of candidates before the commencement of subsequent counselling rounds. The key points of the released advisory is as follows -
Candidates after each round of counselling need to confirm that their reporting/ joining status of the allotted seats has been updated on the intra-MCC portal by the allotted hospital. If any hospital fails to update the reporting/ joining status of the candidate, the allotted seat will be treated as cancelled, and will be added to the upcoming round of MCC NEET PG counselling 2025.
Candidates who are allotted seats need to pay their annual course fee for the 1st year to NBEMS through a designated portal. The annual fee payment must be done within the reporting & joining period as per the MCC’s schedule.
After fee payment, candidates need to report to the allotted hospital with all original documents. Candidates will also have to go through a medical examination, conducted by the hospital’s Medical Board.
After the completion of each counselling round of NEET PG 2025, the NBEMS will open the online portal for joining & registration (OPJR). Both candidates and hospitals need to submit the joining status and required documents to NBEMS through this portal.
One major confusion candidates can have regarding this advisory is “If this NBEMS advisory is applicable to all the candidates”? The answer is “No”. This advisory is only for NBEMS seats that include DNB seats and the candidates who have received a seat under NBEMS quota through the 50% AIQ counselling.
This includes the seats in institutions accredited by the NBEMS, and does not include medical colleges under NMC. As per the NEET PG counselling 2025 seat matrix, a total of 9112 NBEMS seats fall under this category and have to follow this advisory.
Once the MCC declares the seat allotment result of NEET PG 2025 counselling, candidates who are allotted NBEMS seats need to follow these steps keeping in mind this advisory -
Pay the annual course fee of 1st year to NBEMS through the designated payment portal
Once the payment is done, confirm with the allotted hospital that they have updated your reporting and joining status on the intra-MCC portal
Once the joining and reporting status is updated by the hospitals, candidates need to update their details on the “Online portal for joining and registration (OPJR)”

Resignation from your previously held seat is necessary for avoiding any forfeiture of the Counselling money and other legal barrings that can take place.

Hope it helps.
Hello,
With an All India rank of around 82,471 and UP state rank around 4,633 , your chances for MS Surgery in government colleges are very low. You may get a seat in private or deemed colleges , mainly in UP. Chances in other states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu are lower due to domicile rules and local quota preference.
Choice filling strategy:
Top: Private/deemed colleges in UP for Surgery.
Backup: Other clinical branches (Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology) in private/deemed colleges.
Safe: Non-clinical or less competitive branches in private/deemed colleges.
Tips:
Check fees, bond, and stipend before choosing.
Be flexible with branch and college to secure a seat.
You have a non-zero chance if you focus on private/deemed colleges and plan your choices wisely.
Hope it helps !
Hello, in NEET PG 2025, if you get a government college seat, the monthly stipend is typically around Fifty thousand to Ninety Thousand Rupees with modest tuition fees, and a possible service bond of several lakhs depending on the state. Your rank of 82,471 may limit chances in the second round, and if allotted a seat in a private or deemed college, the fees are actually higher and also, the stipend or bond rules may differ. The exact details actually depend on the college and state quota that you secure. All the best!
