    Qualifying Safe score

    About 600,000 students from the General category are anticipated to take the NEET 2025 exam. Based on the number of General category candidates participating in NEET 2025 and trends from previous years, a score between 720 and 160 can be viewed as a safe score in BDS for General category students in NEET 2025.

    Safe score for Admission

    • To gain admission into top 5 dental colleges such as Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Science, KGMU Lucknow, and Dr. D Y Patil Vidyapeeth, general category students should aim for a score between 600 and 700.
    • For other dental colleges, such as SRM Dental College, Jamia Millia Islamia, and Siksha ‘o’ Anushandhan, a score ranging from 550 to 650 can be considered a safe score for NEET 2025 BDS for general category applicants.
    • When it comes to private dental institutions, general category candidates can consider a score of 500 to 600 as a safe score to get admission in their desired BDS college.

    Qualifying safe score

    Approximately 3,50,000 candidates from the SC category are expected to take the NEET 2025 exam. Based on the number of SC candidates participating in NEET 2025 and trends from previous years, a safe score for SC candidates in NEET 2025 could range from 160 to 125.

    Safe score for admission

    3. BDS safe score in NEET 2025 for ST category

    Qualifying safe score

    Around 1.5 lakh candidates from the ST category are expected to appear for NEET 2025 exam. Considering the number of ST category candidates appearing in NEET 2025 and previous year trends, the qualifying safe score for the NEET 2025 SC category can be considered as 160 - 125.

    Admission safe score

    • A score between 400 and 500 can be considered a good score for ST candidates who want to get into government BDS colleges through NEET 2025.
    • For other government dental colleges, SC candidates should aim for a score of 400 to 450 to feel confident about their chances.
    • When it comes to private dental colleges, a NEET 2025 score of 400 to 450 is generally enough to secure admission.

    4. Safe score in BDS for NEET 2025 OBC category

    Qualifying safe score

    More than 10 lakh candidates from the OBC category are expected to take the NEET 2025 exam. Given the large number of participants and the high level of competition, the safe score range for OBC candidates in NEET 2025 is likely to be between 160 and 125.

    Admission safe score

    • To get into the best government dental colleges, a safe score in NEET 2025 for BDS should be between 550 and 620 marks for OBC category students.
    • For other government dental colleges, a score of 500 to 550 can be considered a NEET 2025 safe score.
    • If you're looking at private dental colleges, a score between 450 and 500 is generally considered secure.

    Factors Influencing safe score in NEET 2025

    Several factors influence the safe scores for the NEET exam each year. Here are some of them -

    1. Number of candidates for NEET 2025: About 23 lakh students have registered for NEET 2025, which is fewer than the total number from last year. This drop in NEET 2025 registration could mean that the BDS safe score for NEET 2025 might be lower than it was the previous year.

    2. NEET exam difficulty: The NEET UG exam is known to be quite tough. If the NEET 2025 exam is more difficult, it could lead to lower safe scores.
