What is a Safe Score for NEET 2026?

For students aiming for MBBS admission, knowing the NEET 2026 safe score for MBBS is just as important as checking the expected cutoff by Aakash Institute. In simple terms, a safe score means the marks at which you have a good chance of getting a seat. Based on past trends, a score of 650+ marks for the General category is considered a NEET 2026 safe score for government medical colleges, especially under All India Quota.

If you score around 620+ marks, you may still get a government MBBS seat, depending on your category and state. Students scoring between 500 to 600 marks in NEET 2026 have better chances in private medical colleges or deemed universities. Since the NEET 2026 cutoff is likely to increase due to high competition, it is always safer to aim for a higher score to improve your chances of getting an MBBS seat.
