Hello Deepa,

With a NEET score of 650 marks in the General category , your chances of securing a government MBBS seat at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bangalore are promising, especially under the 85% state quota .

Expected Cutoff for KIMS Bangalore (General Category):

Based on previous years' data:

  • Round 1 : Approximately 66,000 closing rank

Hello there,

To complete 4 chapters per day for NEET preparation, you’ll need a disciplined and efficient study strategy. Here's how you can approach it:

1. Set Clear Goals

  • Identify the chapters : Choose 4 chapters from the syllabus that you need to cover. Make sure to pick a mix of easier and more challenging topics so you can stay motivated.

  • Break down chapters : Divide each chapter into smaller sections, like concepts, formulas, and examples.

    2. Create a Time Table

  • Time blocks : Allocate around 2.5 to 3 hours per chapter, depending on the difficulty level. For example, study one chapter for 2.5 hours in the morning, one after a break, and then continue after lunch.

  • Break it up : Take 10-15 minute breaks after every 45-50 minutes of study to keep yourself refreshed.

    3. Focus on NCERT First

  • Start with NCERT : Always focus on the NCERT textbooks first for conceptual clarity. You can refer to reference books only if necessary.

    4. Active Recall and Practice

  • Understand, don’t just memorize : For every chapter, focus on understanding the concepts. Use active recall techniques where you try to recall the key points without looking at your notes.

  • Practice problems : After each chapter, solve related problems and previous years' NEET questions to reinforce what you’ve learned.

    5. Review at the End of the Day

  • Revision time : In the evening, take 30-45 minutes to quickly review the chapters you covered. It helps retain the information better.

    6. Stay Consistent

  • Stick to this plan every day. Consistency is key to finishing 4 chapters daily. Gradually, as you get more efficient, you’ll be able to finish more.

    7. Use Speed Reading for Theory

  • For theory-heavy chapters, try speed reading techniques to quickly cover the concepts. You don’t need to memorize everything in the first pass but focus on understanding the important aspects.

    8. Stay Healthy

  • Keep yourself hydrated and take short breaks to relax your mind. A well-rested mind is more effective in retaining information.

With focus and consistency, finishing 4 chapters a day becomes manageable. Just ensure to balance quality with quantity to maximize your retention.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, then feel free to share your questions with us, we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

Hello Kashish,

If you missed the NEET 2025 application form deadline , here are some options you can consider:

  1. Wait for Correction/Reopening Window

    • Sometimes, NTA reopens the application portal for a short period due to public demand. Keep checking neet.nta.nic.in regularly.

  2. Apply for Next Year (NEET 2026)

    • If the portal doesn’t reopen, you can prepare and appear for NEET next year. Use this time to strengthen your preparation.

  3. Alternative Medical Courses Without NEET

    • Courses like B.Sc. Nursing, BPT (Physiotherapy), B.Sc. Biotechnology, B.Pharm , etc., are available without NEET in many institutes.

  4. Private Universities' Own Entrance Exams

    • Some private medical colleges abroad and in India offer MBBS/BDS with different admission processes. Check their official websites.

  5. Medical Study Abroad

    • Countries like Russia, Ukraine, Philippines, and Kazakhstan accept Indian students for MBBS without NEET (though NEET is required to practice in India later).

Keep an eye on official updates from NTA. If the application window reopens, be ready to apply immediately.
