Several candidates have taken to social media to express their frustration over the repeated delays in MCC NEET PG 2025 counselling. Aspirants on X (Twitter), Reddit, and Telegram are questioning how a national-level counselling process can function without fixed dates. Many are urging MCC to stop playing with students’ careers and release a clear, final schedule.

The phrase “in the larger interest of candidates,” used by MCC to justify the extension, has become a subject of sarcasm and memes. Many candidates are criticising the overall management of NEET PG counselling, stating that notices appear and disappear without warning and delays happen every year. Some even sarcastically claim that at this rate, authorities might as well conduct NEET PG 2026 now so that counselling could start on time next year.
These repeated delays in NEET PG 2025 counselling are more than just scheduling issues. Students are already addressing this mentally exhausting for themselves. Some of the impact these continuous delays in the NEET PG counselling 2025 can have are as following:
Postgraduate medical academic sessions may face further postponements.
Many fresh graduates are experiencing added financial pressure during this extended waiting period.
These continuous extensions are causing uncertainty amongst students and are contributing to rising stress and mental exhaustion.
The impact of delaying the NEET PG counselling 2025 is not limited to candidates participating in the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. This extension in Round 1 will compress the timelines for Round 2 and subsequent rounds of NEET PG counselling 2025.
Additionally, the continuous extensions in MCC’s counselling timeline are forcing state counselling processes to shift accordingly. This can lead to clashes between All India Counselling and State counselling schedules, making it challenging for colleges to begin their academic sessions on time.
